siouxforeverbaby Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 As we are in this Memorial Day weekend, please take a moment to stop and reflect on what the day means. Take the time to stop and thank a military member or former military and their families for all that they do to make our country great and free. A great big thank you to all those on here who have served and are serving from me and my family. Also, please leave this thread on topic and leave everything else, including politics outside of it. MafiaMan Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Couldn't agree more, siouxforeverbaby. Take some time tomorrow to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Quote
Gma loves hockey Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 From part of a poem I had once written (after flag burning headlines) in honor of a high school classmate and a former neighbor, both gave their all in Vietnam. So you want a flag to desecrate, or would you think "who gave, The right for me to burn this flag" and put it o'er his grave. And thank all those he left behind, Mom, Dad, and family, And all who suffered for mankind, and died for such as me. A soldier died for me. Quote

Siouxperfan7 Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 “Every good and decent thing we enjoy was paid in blood by men and women who put on a uniform and then went away” - Mike Rowe Thank you veterans. And a special thanks to the veterans who are members here on Siouxsports. Can’t thank you enough. 1 Quote
