bincitysioux Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 We very uncharacteristically careless with the ball tonight..... And so is Portland Quote
FSSD Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 I am not sure which team is playing worse.. Quote
bincitysioux Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 PSU shooting better from the field than we are from the free throw line. Quote
sioux2013 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Turnovers are killing us. Webb has 5 this half. Quote
bincitysioux Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 PSU's coach made a good halftime speech apparently. UND's not so much.. Quote
sioux24/7 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Anderson was clearly unaware the game was almost over. Quote
SIOUXFAN97 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 how many seniors were on the floor at the end of that??? jesus Quote
sioux24/7 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Schuler could have drove the ball for an easy layup but decided to kick it out to Anderson with about 6 seconds left so Anderson decided he wanted to dribble back and take an NBA range three. STUPID STUPID STUPID! Quote
bincitysioux Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 We lost. Great stop on PSU's final possession but then our guys totally lost their minds on the ensuing possession. Another completely winnable game that we gave away. But you know, "it is so difficult to win on the road in the Big Sky". That is why Weber and Montana combined to lose 1 road game last season.......... Consistent underachievement. Quote
sioux24/7 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Did we not have a timeout at the end or what? Quote
FSSD Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Schuler passes up an open 12 footer with 4 seconds left and throws it to Anderson (who losses track of time) at the top of the key - who then pulls it back out with 3 seconds left and ends up taking a contested 3 deep. Wow... Quote
sioux24/7 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 No reason to start Schuler anymore. He hasn't provided much of anything this season. Stefan didn't have the best game tonight but I think him and Schuler need to switch minutes. Stefan deserves more than Schuler. Anderson was very hesitant this game just like this whole year. Where is his confidence!? Quote
sioux2013 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Can't turn the ball over 18 times on the road and expect to win. Tried to make the difficult pass when the easy pass was available. Tough loss but a split on the road is not all bad. Quote

bincitysioux Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Makes it hurt worse that UNC lost tonight also. Great opportunity to jump into second place. Looking like OT for Weber and Sac Quote

Where is his confidence!? Schuler plays the 4 and Stefen plays the 3. I'm sure you realize this. Maybe if Schuler got the ball more when he is open he can do some things. Up until tonight he was the 4th leading scorer on this team. Yes he is struggling with his shot but he brings solid defense and take care of the ball unlike others tonight on this team. Quote

FSSD Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Schuler had the shot but Anderson looked lost when he got it with 3 seconds and he is the leader on the floor.. what the hell. Quote

Stefan is a bigger body so I am guessing that he could play the 4 too if necessary. Stefan provides better defense than Schuler and he can be a better scorer than Schuler. There is no reason that either of them are playing the 4 but I guess that is what you get with Jones as the coach. Quote

Where is his confidence!? Schuler plays the 4 and he should be playing the 2 like he did his freshman year. They started him at the 2 several games ago for Anderson and he averaged almost 10 pts/game at the 2 and then they moved him back to the 4 where he is undersized and playing underneath and is difficult for him to shoot over guys 5" taller than him. He is best at the 2 or 3. Game was lost by the turnovers starting the 2nd half and then it continued thru the entire half by the point guards. Quote
