01grad Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Great one Federov!!! Diggs must have selected the Kollar instead of Ranfranz by accident, too bad. Quote
Diggler Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Wrong Andy. How slow are those clowns? Update it already! I don't care if there were a bunch of bids. Quote
CoteauRinkRat Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 If they do it again, perhaps they won't have emails sent in, but rather use a different form of technology that updates the bids faster. I think that this will be a must the next time they do it. It also must be a lot of work for the people doing this. Quote
01grad Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 I wonder if we will wear the black jerseys again this year after what happend this past weekend? Which is the alternate jersey, the black or green? I remember one of these colors was used for special occaisions or games and I thought it was green. Perhaps it might increase the value of the black ones since they will be used at a rarity the rest of the year. I guess it could also work the other way too, nobody will want them if they are bad luck. Quote

LFSPRO Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Has anyone been notified that they had a winning bid today? Quote
teamsioux Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 One would think that they could of at least figured out the winners by now. Fans are are willing to spend hundreds more of their hard earned dollars and now we have to wait two days to find out anyting?!? Quote
Diggler Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Does seem suprising considering how quick it was done last year. Either way, I'm not expecting to actually win. Some dink who doesn't really care much either way will probably win. Plus that way when I do, I can be even happier. Quote
Diggler Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Final bids are up. I only got outbid by $180. http://www.fightingsioux.com/sports/mhocke...RELEASE_ID=2537 Quote
Smoggy Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Whoever FECHIK is dropped some serious coinage. Was probably going for every jersey. Quote
Diggler Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Whoever FECHIK is dropped some serious coinage. Was probably going for every jersey. Why he had to bid. Stupid turkey! He prevented me from winning! It must be his business or something. Otherwise that is just way too much money to spend on stupid jerseys. Quote
Fedorov Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 I was told that FECHIK was registered to a WPoS, sagard, Greyeagle, and TC Transplant. Quote

Diggler Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 I've got Tyler's jersey from the last game at the old Engelstad. Quote
LFSPRO Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Disappointing that so few individuals bought so many. $5,725 for seventeen jerseys! Must have purchased as investment rather than an average fan looking to own a piece of Sioux hockey history. Hopefully we will get another chance down the road and that these guys will be stuck with their purchases in ending inventory! If they show up on e-bay, I'll be ***** if I will place a bid! Quote
01grad Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 It is too bad that the majority of the jerseys were distributed to only a few different people. Hopefully next year, if they do it again, they will allow people to only bid on one jersey so the high rollers don't take them all. I am a little upset, but hey at least I saved a lot of money. I'll just have to settle for wearing my cheap knock off for a few more years. Quote
Diggler Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Couldn't you go to Gemini and see if they could make you one or if they have any laying around? I guess they don't make the jersey anymore, but you might be able to get one from them. If you do that, pick me one up too. Quote
CoteauRinkRat Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 I'm disappointed also, but it is a fair process and these people obviously shelled out a lot of money for a good cause. Quote

A month or two ago I contacted Chris Peterson at Gemini Athletics to see if they had any of the older style jersey available. He checked and they did not. I asked if they could still make them, he said they could but would need to have an order of a dozen or so. Quote

When you say "older style", exactly which one are you considering? I don't need another jersey but if it was the old Blackhawk I might not be able to pass it up. Quote
teamsioux Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 I have to agree that this process pretty much leaves a bad taste in my mouth....not that there was anything wrong done. It is just that the regular fan likes to have some memorbilia including game worn jerseys while at the same time help funding the program. It seemed last year that a lot of family also bought them. At those prices, most fans can't afford them or are not willing to. If these couple of guys are just fans, well then good for then...they will have quite the collection in the den, otherwise if they are trying to resell at a later date, I hope they get smoked. Quote
jimdahl Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Call me a cynic, but I wonder if any of those will prove fraudulent? A lot of people placed a lot of bids on multiple jerseys -- I wonder if they all really wanted to win that many? Quote
01grad Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Good point Jim, so you're saying there's a chance still. Quote
