UND Fan Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Agree - very ugly after the first few minutes. Shooting less than 30% , too many turnovers! Quote
Teeder11 Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Thought I saw Allard return and rattle in a 15 footer near the top of the key. Quote
bincitysioux Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Thought I saw Allard return and rattle in a 15 footer near the top of the key. That's good. I remember the shot, didn't recall if was before or after he got banged up. This team just doesn't need any more injuries............ Quote
Teeder11 Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Huff needs 3 Pts to reach 1,000. But I bet he'd be satisfied with zero Pts and a win. Quote
sioux2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Lack of inside scoring is killing us. Too many bad shot also. Quote
bincitysioux Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Crowd looks weak tonight, compared to last week's games. Especially the student section. Did the Montana's bring out the fans last week, or is everybody packing for the Twin Cities tonight? Quote
bincitysioux Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 36 North Dakota 29 EWU 16:25 2nd Half Quote
bincitysioux Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I'm often critical of Huff's decision making, but that kid sure does hustle out there on the defensive end and on the boards............. Quote
UND Fan Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 19-3 start to the 2nd half for the good guys! Quote
Teeder11 Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 That's 1,002 for Huff! Welcome to the club, Troy! Quote
bincitysioux Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 That Jois kid is good. And he's only a freshman.............. Quote
Teeder11 Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 That Jois kid is good. And he's only a freshman.............. He was idling in the 1st half, me thinks. Quote
bincitysioux Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Excellent 2nd half by the Sioux. Huff worked his arse off out there. TEAM basketball all the way for the last 20 minutes. Let's do that on Saturday too! Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted January 18, 2013 Author Posted January 18, 2013 Thoughts: -First off congrats to Huff for his 1000 point milestone. Its glad to see him back full strength and playing extremely hard. Best player overall tonight, made every effort to get at every rebound that was available. -Webb played a solid game despite some back issues (scary moment #2 after Allard holding his wrist), had a great overall game as well -Anderson played extremely well and stuck some very big shots when we needed them. Was not afraid to get after the rebounds. -Wilmer... catch the darn ball! Had a halfway decent rebounding performance -Schuler played a decent game and got some key buckets at the right time, got robbed of a few points with a rattled 3. -Ball movement was awesome in the 2nd half, even when the shots didn't fall, they were open looks due to the movement -Best rebounding performance since Hawaii... hands down. Even the boards that EWU got, 75% were contested -Free throw shooting was ok. -Jois I feel is the real deal and he and that Martin kid are going to be a awesome frontcourt for EWU for the next 3 years. Time to finish the sweep against PSU to get even at 4-4! Quote
Feff Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I just kept thinking during the game, "How good of a team would you have if you combined EWU's frontcourt with UND's backcourt?" Quote
