Lack of significant playing time this year may prevent him from coming to UND next season. Hope the recovery goes well and yes, think it makes it an almost certainty that he will come after being drafted in 2027. It seems like they'll need to bring in 3 "capable" top 6 players next year to replace (Rickwood, Strinden, and James). Williams and Simpson seem to fit the bill but the 3rd guy definitely seems to be up in the air at the moment. Quote

I think we’ll have to wait and see what he looks like when healthy to completely rule him out for next year. If he is as advertised this year when he gets healthy, I still think we bring him in. The chances of him getting pushed back a year definitely just got a lot bigger, which I do not hate. If he is pushed back a year, I am confident that this staff will bring in a quality piece with that open spot. Quote

Wilbur Posted Wednesday at 01:57 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:57 PM Grubb is off to a great start on the 18U Prep at Shattuck. Three points in two games as a 16 year old. Excited to see his progress. I think we could see him on Campus as an 18 year old with some growth. Quote

We'd need to see him go to junior as a 17 year old and really dominate for the staff to bring him in as an 18 year old, we'll see if that happens. Quote

Agreed. WHL or USHL next season for sure. If I was a betting man I'd say 19 year old season, but there is always the possibility if he gets above 6 feet and adds weight. Quote

He’ll play in Brandon next year and come on the year after. He’s good. Quote

Not sure what kind of face off % guy he is, but really good with his space management low off the wall. I think he's a kid that jumps into the top six right away when he gets here. Quote

He was excellent in the USHL last year. He will have some growing pains but he projects to be a very good college player. 2 Quote
