GF TV for Devils Series

Can someone help me out? I'm trying to find the Devils/Carolina series on midco, but I'm not finding it. On NHL.com the TV listing is TSN and RIS. If I am correct, these are both Canadian networks and GF only gets CBC. I do have center ice, but it's not listed there either. Can anyone help me, I'm getting a little irritated that the Devils/Carolina series might not be shown on an American network.

Not often I ask for this, but someone tell me I'm wrong :silly: and that midco or center ice has this series on someplace.

If Heidi has NHL Center Ice she will be fine.

Thank you guys - Center ice finally put it up - I've been going nuts since I looked at the TV schedule on NHL.com on Sun and saw some Devils, Hurricanes, Blue Jackets and BlackHawk games were only on TSN or TSN and RIS and that the Center Ice website wasn't listing them as being on.

I am such a happy camper now :silly:

I have a versus HD. So I don't see much difference though.

I was saying for those who have basic cable. I just think it was so stupid for the NHL after the lockout to switch to the Outdoor Network. To bring back interest to the league, you shouldn't alienate your fans that don't have versus.

I've seen HD broadcasts in bars/restaurants that offer it, and I just don't see any difference in quality between that and the SD setup I have at home. If you don't like the way an SD broadcast looks on an HD TV you really need to see that same broadcast on an SD TV. The difference is like night and day.

Depends on your tv....the difference between a SD broadcast on a SD TV and a HD broadcast on a HD TV are like night and day if you were to ask me. Only thing that tops the HD is being at the game live. The only SD games I've watched all year have been the Sioux games.

It isn't just you. I've heard a lot of people say that, but personally I have never been able to tell the difference (and it isn't from a lack of trying).

It's impossible not to tell a difference. So if you "think" you've seen hockey on an HDTV, on an HD channel, by someone who told you that's what it is, you've been fooled.

i think you missed my point or misread it. HD is so much different than regular. its impossible NOT to tell the difference

I have HD from MIDCO and I watch the NHL on Versus and I can't see much of a differene.

Do you have a HDTV, capable of 1080I? You won't tell a lot of difference looking at an HDTV from long distance (like in a bar) as compared to a small CRT on SD signal in your home. The real difference is most easily seen if you get real close to an HD signal on a large screen HDTV; for instance, I like to sit 4-5 feet directly in front of my 46" to watch HD hockey. The quality blows you away. Don't try doing that on the same TV watching an SD signal, it will be unwatchable. SD is much better if you watch on a smaller screen, whether it's CRT or a large screen. But, once you watch HD, it's hard to watch anything else in SD. I regularly look for something to watch, when hockey isn't on, and will usually select something in HD, often over something else I'd rather watch that's in SD.

Midco came and installed the stuff for the signal so I can get the HD, I have a flat screen as well.

then you dont have it set up right or have a very weak HD signal for some reason. if done right there is a big difference in HD to non HD channels and especially hockey, or your eyes are just messed up :)

I don't think Comcast has that great of HD. I notice the higher quality more when watching football than with hockey. Dish was pretty good though.

NHL Center Ice with Dish or Direct shows most of the games in HD all year. I have Dish and the only ones I don't get in HD are the Canadian broadcasts(unless its NHL Network) and the MSG channels.

Didn't have Center Ice for this season, but had it last season and HD hockey was limited. Just bought the SC Center Ice package two days ago, and the NJ/Carolina game was not in HD (nor is it tonight). All games last night were in HD, however. And, of course, Versus HD is part of the Dish HD package. Seems, so far, at least, all the games have been in HD except for the NJ/Carolina game, which is the one I'm most interested in watching tonight.
