Sioux_Hab-it Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Trupp with the goal 6-3 Sioux. They score 6 on the top ranked D in DI so where has this been in the past? Quote
kfah1 Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Never give up working on that puck..... Sioux goal! Garman couldn't quite get that goofy puck and works itself in. Sioux 6 to 3! Quote
Sioux Fan in Sioux Falls Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Sweet Game! They're BAAAAACK! Quote
siouxforeverbaby Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 I think that they are giving it to Gregoire. At least that is what Sweeney said, but now he is confused! The announcer in the arena says TRUPPER! Quote

jk Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Darn. Using up too many bounces tonight. Tomorrow will be 2-1; I just hope the guys in white have the 2. Quote
Let'sGoHawks! Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Great win by the boys, that looked like FIGHTING SIOUX HOCKEY! 7 Goals on Cornell is an accomplishment. Need the sweep tomorrow. Quote
Upper Deck Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Great win by the boys, that looked like FIGHTING SIOUX HOCKEY! 7 Goals on Cornell is an accomplishment. Need the sweep tomorrow. Life is good tonight. Sioux with a nice team win, Bemidji St. beat MI Tech 3-0 and the Gophs lose to MI 6-3. All is well. Quote
kfah1 Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Great win for the Fighting Sioux! Seemed that the Sioux were finally taking more shots on goal, clearing the puck out/away from their net, doing more things right versus wrong. However; and this is NO knock on Cornell, but even though they were the top defensive team in the nation coming in, were they "WCHA strong?" Is their schedule as strong as the Sioux's? Did Cornell's schedule thus far allow themselves to become the nation's number one defensive team? So... did the Sioux really beat a team as "strong" as say... Minnesota, whoever... I guess I'm a little pessimistic because this is only one game but hey... a win is a win is a win and I'll take it! Lots of players getting their first goal for the season and lots of good things happened. Let's see the team work for another victory tomorrow and show us that stick salute! Go Sioux!! Quote
Irish Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 It's great to see us unload on someone. Welcome to the WCHA Cornell. My only concern is the horrible defensive give aways we handed out. Our defense must improve. I've never seen so many defensemen fall down. We need to keep this intensity for the next 3 games to start the second half. That's the million dollar question for the Sioux this year - can they do this consistantly? Quote
Reformed Gphr Fan Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Nice win! Let's see another one tomorrow night! Quote
redwing77 Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Great to read about the win. GREAT to hear about Frattin's hat trick too. Boy, if anyone deserves it, it is him. Quote

That's the million dollar question for the Sioux this year - can they do this consistantly? Agreed. Defensively they go through these spells where they look like they have no business being on the ice (out of position, stop skating, etc). That said, Cornell's second or first (can't remember which) was all Eidsness, he got fooled on that backhand. Anyway, great to see them breakout with 7 against supposedly one of the best defensive teams in the NCAA. Here's to them following up tomorrow and into the games to come...GO SIOUX!!! Quote
Sioux17 Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Frattin with a goal from Gregoire. CU changes their goalie. i thought their goalie was supposed to be good. he looked a little soft tonight on some things that i felt he should of saved Quote
