sprig Posted September 13, 2005 Posted September 13, 2005 Greene picks up a penalty in the Oilers blue/white game, as well as the hit of the game: Matt Greene absolutely levelled a player on Team White with an open-ice body check on what was the biggest hit of the day.
#1siouxfan22 Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Brian Lee debuts on the Senators propects list at 5. Bochenski is 7. http://www.hockeysfuture.com/article.php?s...hreaded&order=0
Goon Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Whoa, check it out. Eddie Mio is with Phoeinx? Any of you guys old enough to remember Mio? Former CC backstopper....had one of the coolest goalie masks of his era. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If I remeber right he was also a pretty good NHL goalies too.
sprig Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 The Oilers dropped 5 (I believe) players from their 25 player rookie camp. Greene, as expected, is one of the rookie's on the Oiler camp roster. Jones also takes the next step as he is listed on the Coyotes camp roster.
Siouxman Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Whoa, check it out. Eddie Mio is with Phoeinx? Any of you guys old enough to remember Mio? Former CC backstopper....had one of the coolest goalie masks of his era. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, I remember him. I also remember him giving up a goal to Dave Geving (D) who flipped the puck into the zone for a line change. Puck bounced twice, Mio stuck out his glove, and the puck bounced over his glove for a goal and a 3-2 Sioux win. This was probably the highlight of Geving's career.
sprig Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Commodore got into the action last night in Carolina's 6-0 win. Where's the hair?
Goon Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Commodore got into the action last night in Carolina's 6-0 win. Where's the hair? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Anyone know who he is beating up?
sprig Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Anyone know who he is beating up? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> R. Gomez, although I can't find him listed on the Capitals site.
dagies Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 Where's the hair? I think orange and red clash.
siouxper Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Aaron Schneekloth signs with the Houston Aeros to join up with former Sioux Curtis Murphy who returns to the Aeros from Russia and Brian Lundbohlm who recently signed there.
dagies Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Lundblom fixed your post Seriously, good to hear that Murphy is back with the Wild. Also will be nice to watch former players like Lundbohm and Schneekloth. edit: fixed MY post
redwing77 Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 fixed your post Seriously, good to hear the Murphyis back with the Wild. Also will be nice to watch former players like Lundbohm and Schneekloth. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nice, though not this Friday. They're already back in Houston and won't be at the Ralph unless they bring them up just for the game.
Goon Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Word has it that Karl G. is headed for Helinski Finland. Apparently the NHL scouts their league pretty freqently so maybe he will get signed in the NHL some day. Saw Jeff Panzer at the Potato bowl tail gate so apparently he isn't signed by anyone this season.
schmidtdoggydog Posted September 21, 2005 Author Posted September 21, 2005 Bochenski article. One week into training camp, Bochenski looks - and sounds - like he belongs here. He may get to stay a while, too. After Monday's revelation that winger Vaclav Varada will miss 4-6 weeks with a knee injury, the Senators have three openings for forwards on their 20-man NHL roster, and for now, Bochenski has played his way into one of them with his knack for scoring goals.
PCM Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Bochenski article. "There's that borderline between cockiness and confidence, and Bo kind of teeters on it," Spezza said. That's the Bo this sudo-reporter came to know and love. I once asked him what the Murray-Parise-Bochenski line should be called and he replied, "How about the Brandon Bochenski line?"
Sioux_Hab-it Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Bo looked great in yesterdays team scrimmage notching both a goal and an assist. I will be shocked if he doesn't stick.
PCM Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 I wonder how many goals Bo will have to score before people stop knocking his skating.
Canuck Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 I wonder how many goals Bo will have to score before people stop knocking his skating. Probably about half as many games as Karl Goehring will have to win before people stop knocking his size.
fargosioux Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Mike Commodore with a goal last night in a 5-4 win against Atlanta. He also had 2 penalties, including instigating. Lee Goren with a PP goal and an assist against Edmonton.
CoteauRinkRat Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 I wonder how many goals Bo will have to score before people stop knocking his skating. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I wonder that also. Woog still can't mention Bo's name, without saying something about his skating.
dagies Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 I wonder how many goals Bo will have to score before people stop knocking his skating. It's the same thing with Vanek and defense. Some people can't mention one without the other.
