Zach Parise nets his 24th goal of the year on a great 2nd effort chance. Goalie made the first save and Zach banked in the 2nd chance from behind the red line, off the defensemen's stick.

I believe Parise also pwned a guy in front of the Devils net to start the rush that ended in that goal. The announcers are just fawning over Zach right now, I don't think they're going to be able to speak tomorrow; they're so excited about his play they're screaming at the top of their lungs.

They're seeing why Sioux fans loved watching him play for 2 years. ZPar has definitely turned it up as of late.

ZPar sure planted one on Prucha and never gave up on bringing it back up the other way! What passing between Langenbruner, Lucawich,Gomez and then to ZPar for the GWG!! SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was the top 10 play of the night on ESPN Sports Center last night too!

It's too bad they called him Gomez on Sportscenter though

Here's the highlight for anyone interested in seeing the hit/goal

Also, Bochenski and Kessel were sitting a couple sections away from me at the Beanpot, they had high praise for the tounament, and Bochenski called Nathan Gerbe a diver of Olympic proportions. :glare: I knew there was a reason I always liked him.

I watched that game last night...I'll always be a Zach Parise fan, what a great kid(he is still only 21 years old). With his tremendous attitude, work habits and his obvious hockey skills, he should be a fixture in the NHL for quite some time.

The slow motion shot from behind the net shows how awsome of a goal it was. No wonder Mike Emerick had to go unload his pants after seeing that goal live!

I think there was a good chance the puck would have ended up in the net anyways. The path of the puck was headed for Lundqvist's mask which would have deflected the puck back into the net. Who cares aways, a nice goal.

Green gets the mention but Hale got more of the ink in your article.

Wow, I must have scanned right over Hale's name. Sorry David!! Thanks for the catch.

The best part was Zach planting the Ranger player in front of his own net then going down and scoring, that is Fighting Sioux hockey all the way.

I got all excited to see that Smaby got called up, then I realized it was just a typo. :glare:

Drew Stafford scores the winning shootout goal in tonight's Sabres/Senators game. Nice shot by Drew too.

Also the number one star of the game!!! Congrats Drew!
