fourwindsboy Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 AGAIN IN ALL CAPS SINCE YOU SEEMED TO HAVE MISSED IT THE FIRST TIME.....HE WAS CLEARED BY THE FBI.....CLEARED AS IN WAS FOUND TO NOT BE A NAZI SUPPORTER....and as for his parties, he APOLOGIZED FOR THEM including the one that was not proven that it was him hosting it and not his staff. but I am done arguing about it and back on ignore for you. OK, he apologized and it wasn't proven. I spose you beleived "W" when he said the Iraqi's had WMD's, also. WOW. MT,BSW. Quote
fourwindsboy Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 He has proven time after time that his sole purpose on this forum is to goad members into arguments. Very likely hoping that someone will say something inflammatory that he can take to 'his people' to prove we're the racists. He posts clearly show he is the racist; prime example of the pot calling the kettle black. I think everyone should put him on ignore. I've said it before he isn't adding anything to the name/logo discussion. He just wants to 'stick it to the man'. People post responses to his ridiculous and erroneous posts to show his errors/misconceptions which once proven he's wrong (again), he ignores their responses. I have him on ignore but read his antagonistic responses when others respond to his posts. His descent into his mire of racism shows everyone, pro- and against the name and logo what a little man he is. He can't use logic or valid examples to support his stance so he resorts to insults and antagonism. Ignore him. I already have enough ammo, thank you. Now I'm just havin fun and you just can't help yourself. Quote
iramurphy Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 So he has a gala at his casino to celebrate the Nazi's and he isn't a Nazi lover? Am I missin something here? Yes you are. Unless you are also going to say the Gamma Phi's who dressed up like Native Americans are Native American lovers then you can't say people who dressed up like Nazi's are Nazi lovers. Most of todays mondern day Nazi's are associated with the skinheads and white supremicist movements and don't dress up in WWII uniforms. In this day and age it certainly was thoughtless. I dont' think they gave much thought to whether or not it was disrespectful. There have been similar western parties at HS and Colleges across the country over the years and those schools don't have NA logos. I would hope you don't define who you are by your ethnic origin. That is only a small part of it. If so, you will continue to ge bent out of shape over things that aren't that important. You will also limit your opportunites for success. Too many people use their culture or ethnic origin as their excuse for anything that does't turn out well. I think over the years you will learn that is a waste of you time and emotional energy. We can be much more than an Italian or Irishman or Native American. I would hope all of us want to be known based on our own success and accomplishments rather than limited by just our ethnic origin. It should be enough that you are an American and a UND graduate. That should take you a lot farther than being a Native American, Irishman, Italian or even Norwegian. The logo issue is no longer an issue for most of us and we can't change it even if we wished. It really doesn't need to be an issue for you either. As you say, you won this one. Your focus now should be how are you going to use that "victory to make a better world for you and me, your family and your community. Good luck. Quote

Exactly, but to those who feel "victimized", their focus will never be where it should be. Having grown up in central ND, having been to/thru SLR countless times, the "victory" of removing the Sioux nickname is not going to change one thing on that reservation. If FWB wants to talk about self esteem, will the "victory" prompt a mass influx of NA youth to do better in school or go to college or get a job? NO! Will it promote better self esteem to curb the ramped out of wedlock pregnancies? NO! Will it help make NAs more accountable for the own well being --socially and physically? NO! But FWB, Leigh Jeanotte and others will have their "victory"...and the beat will go on as is at SLR. And that is the sad truth! Quote

The Sicatoka Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 Ralphy's loaded ... No, actually, he's buried. It's just that some just can't let a man like the rest of us, with deeds both wise and foolish, rest in peace. Quote

The man can't even rest in piece without some one sniping at his good name. From the way some people talk you would have thought that Ralph was the ANTI-Christ. Quote

It's too bad that the media couldn't go hog wild with all the philantrophic deeds that Ralph and his organization have done, i.e. donating more than a couple thousand wheelchairs to those that need then in North Dakota alone. But nooooo, that don't mean $#it to people who want to bash him for building a 100 million dollar hockey arena. It's over looked that he didn't hate the Sioux, he loved the UND hockey program. But, believe what you want. Quote

I find it sad that many of these same people still kick/knock the man after he is gone. Even after they know that the FBI ruled he wasn't a NAZI. They are real nice people aren't they? Quote

He's beyond the "I'm opposed to the nickname" stage and into the vindictive, eye for an eye, shove it down your throats stage that got GrahamKracker into so much trouble. Now, I'm not certain fourwindsboy would go as far as GrahamKracker did, but it's just how it is. Let him post. Let him be. Let's get on with our lives. It's obvious that he's got nothing left to spew but hate. He's picking on a man who has been dead for 6 years now (He died in 2002, 1 year after the new Ralph opened). I would never pick on someone like Sitting Bull or a more recently deceased leader of the Sioux Nation because I don't feel it is an ethical or moral act to pick on the deceased. And fourwindsboy, for your own benefit, don't bother responding to my post. I've long since put you on ignore. I'm sorry, but you have been making visiting this site a major downer for me lately and I don't need such an influence. Thanks. Quote

Don't forget one of my personal favorites: how the so-called "smallpox blankets" of the 19th century are a reason why a nickname simply must be changed here in the 21st century. What one has to do with the other is beyond my simple understanding. Quote
