It gets very quiet at some points during the games. Wouldn't it be a fun atmosphere to have a raucous student section for 60 minutes? Or maybe a raucous Ralph as a whole. I kind of get, but at the same time don't get, the whole make the students in the lower bowl sit down thing....."what's with these students not getting into it?!" Uhhh maybe because they're sitting down. "But they're blocking my view!" You're not watching a movie...you're at a hockey game, now stand up and cheer (Get it? ). We students have to do our part too. The student section is the energy hot spot (or not so much in this case). I am so absolutely positively sick and tired of these half-a$$ed "sioux yea yea" "Yea sioux..whatever....I've gotta look at my texts" It honestly sounds like we're falling asleep. I really think Nodak Nation needs to be the ones to step up and turn the student section into a zoo (A good zoo, a loud zoo, not a vulgar/mean spirited/awful zoo). I remember going to Syracuse, or Uconn (Or the best kind: Syracuse vs Uconn) basketball games and the students would be going absolutely nuts, which translated to the rest of the crowd feeling the energy which translated to the players playing with increased intensity and passion which translated to a better on court product. I mean just look at the Cameron Crazies, they have figured it out. Now, I hate Duke with a passion but I've gotta hand it to their student section. I envy that electricity.

I was totally surprised when one of my roommates, who did not vote in the first two rounds, told me he voted Roughriders in this round. He said "If we have to be something, I'd rather be a Roughrider instead of that avian trash" Who uses the term "avian trash"??? I couldn't stop laughing, but every vote counts!

Hey I'd rather be a condom than be the absolute worst nickname is college athletics Condom over all those hawk schools, please! Hopefullly we play USC so you guys can get excited over a real condom brand. I've, sincerely never heard of Rough Rider, and idk even know if it's regional? But Trojan is national and USC is more than fine. If we become Fighting Hawks; will it be the end of the world? Absolutely not, we'll still sweep Miami or whoever. But "The Hawks keep it in their zone, but a hawks player clear it for a one on one opportunity for the hawks.......AND THE HAWKS SCORE" is not unique. I've been told by fellow students that "A high school here is the roughriders and its stupid to be the same" and I say, yea you're right....be number 43 Hawk or be an original college Roughrider. Such a tough choice!!!!!

Seriously though, to my past self who doubted this Sioux/Hawk/Rider team in the 3rd and was doubtful in OT, I say....
