  1. Who is this ref and where's he from? Seems he's missed a lot.
  2. OK time to get the mojo going. 3 keys to the game 1. Wear BLACK 2. Score 4 or more goals 3. 3rd or 4th line scores a goal (who are the two guys that when they score we are undefeated - need to have them score a BUNCH) Oh yeah and lets push BC all over the ice and pepper and snipe Schneider all night long and stay out of the box and Phil needs to be "on" and .....(I'm sure I'll think of more things to add) LET'S GO SIOUX
  3. Dear Maine and Michigan State, Welcome to WCHA reffing at its best. I would truly like to apologize on behalf of all WCHA fans for having to endure Derek Sheppard in this very important game. I understand your pain. In the first 3 minutes (about how long I've been watching) I have seen at least 4 blatant penalties not called (on both teams) and the one that was finally called was certainly no worse than any of the others. I very much hope that he doesnt make a bogus call or non-call that decides the fate of this game. Unfortunately he has a tendency to do so.
  4. I would echo that statement. I sure hope he doesn't pull a Jack Johnson and hang out in St. Louis and go condo shopping since the Blues season will be over.
  5. I'm not a big fan of Calgary either, however, I am rooting for them since trading for David Hale at the deadline. They seem to really be giving him a decent shot (much like they did for Commodore his last year before Carolina). It seems to me that David may have been a little frustrated in New Jersey before the trade (from articles that I've read) because he was averaging less than 8 minutes per game and since having recovered from his illness he has not played less that 15 minutes per game (I think)
  6. I can be a little slow sometimes (OK a lot ) so could you please spell it out for me? THX
  7. I know that the award is presented on April 28th at the "coaches convention", but when is it voted on or decided (before, during or after the FF)?
  8. He (or his editors) also can't spell. One of the spellings of Zach's last name was "Parisi". After seeing the numerous inaccuracies, this feels like a very hastily (sloppy) written article.
  9. Thought this one was interesting - starts out the article talking about how UND, Maine and BC have such rich frozen four tradition, but then the bulk of the article only talks about Maine and BC - granted it is a boston area paper. http://ledger.southofboston.com/articles/2...ts/sports02.txt
  10. I wish everyone wasn't on their way to St. Louis yet so there would be a "number" of comments for this example of extreme laziness and incredible arrogance.
  11. The Eagle hasn't forgotten where he came from. http://www.floridapanthers.com/Newsroom/Re...ndex.cfm?id=839
  12. Nice article on TJ http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/sports/st...F8?OpenDocument
  13. This one is a kind of lighthearted original recap of the Michigan game by a Michigan paper. http://media.www.michigandaily.com/media/s...x-2791325.shtml
  14. OK, way too much time on my hands tonight and to fill that time I am clicking around finding Sioux articles. Thought I would just start a new thread and then I would have someplace to put them. This guy predicts #8 for the Sioux. http://community.foxsports.com/blogs/Hollm..._at_Frozen_Four
  15. Well obviously I'm not packing for St Louis and so am consoling myself by googling Sioux hockey and finding lots of articles. Here's another one from the Boston area. http://www.boston.com/sports/articles/2007...stance_rivalry/
  16. Wasn't sure where to put this one, but I figured this was as good as anywhere. Nice Q&A with Porter. http://www.journalstar.com/articles/2007/0...ae708821714.txt
  17. Found this by accident. Good read. Nice stuff about Duncs especiall considering its a Boston area paper. http://ledger.southofboston.com/articles/2...ts/sports03.txt
  18. Oh my! What is JFR going to think? I'm kind of torn who to root for. Tenn cause of my sister or Rutgers cause of JFR
  19. Works for me. Just like the players, we fans must do whatever it takes and give that 1150% in order to bring home that #8 banner. (I'm at my sister's house, mind swinging by Knoxville Tenn to pick me up? ) ((If I were at home in GF, I would have found a way down - been dropping hints about a road trip to St Louis for three weeks now, somehow though, they just aren't getting the blatent slap in the face hint ))
  20. Anybody know if there are any gatherings in Knoxville Tenn?
  21. THANK YOU!!!! (I still wish the rest of me was going along with my spirit - OK whine over)
  22. Here's another perspective - don't think I really agree with it though. He does not seem to be a fan of the WCHA (or had one of his favorites over the last 5 years lose to the WCHA). http://www.collegehockeynews.com/news/2007/04/02_academy.php Quote from college hockey news.com article: "Note, as well, that nowhere in the official criteria above is a requirement that the Hobey recipient be the WCHA's top scoring forward or defenseman
