Weah- if you look at his social media you can see what his attitude is……me, me, me. Maybe he is leaving because he sees less playing time in his future with a stacked backfield. Ziebarth and Smith make weah leaving much more tolerable and these guys are as good in different ways. I do see him leaving as a lack of character because of all the work UND put into him to help get him where he is at. He needs a slice of humble pie and maybe he can get that going to Minnesota. A team will have to consider his baggage; ball security, catching the ball (better in 2021), potential legal issues, potential work ethic issues, etc…… How far does Weah want to move from his home? I do see Nelson and Robertson leaving because of Dixon coming in. We will gladly take them back if Dixon goes elsewhere. Dixon is coming to UND because of his playing time prospects and because of our top defensive play. He could go to a better team but have the potential to sit longer. I would love to see any of our transfers play FBS but are they good enough to get a scholarship offer? Guys that didn’t play much are not transferring because of Bubba and the coaching staff. They want to play! Most end up transferring down but some do transfers laterally or up so anything can happen. Starters that leave want bigger and better things. They want to play in the top FBS league to prove themselves or they want to transfer to a winning program that has the potential to contend for championships if they are stuck at a school they don’t see getting there. I would say not many starters leave just because they don’t get along with the coaching staff or don’t respect them.

Gawd I would hope so, that team plays in the Sunbelt so it’s not like it is a much higher level of football…… is he a draft prospect?

Are these guys disappointed they didn’t play much this season because of the super seniors that returned ? How much does this extra year of eligibility hurt us?

EWU also has a horrible defense that couldn’t even stop Western Illinois…… embarrassing day for the MVFC! i would be just as disappointed as am I now (or even more) if we would have lost in the first round this year like USD, MoSt, or UNI……

What if we finish the season 7-4 next year and lose in the second round of the playoffs ? Clean house and fire everyone or extend Bubba? Seriously ????? USD and Missouri St both lost their first round matchups today. That easily could have been us and you still would whine…… and those fan bases better call for a coaching change too! Championships or bust!!!!!

Wow what an embarrassment. I should have spend my time and money supporting the football team because this hockey team is awful. We cannot be blown out by a crappy team at home especially when it’s a rivalry game.

Lingering hamstring injuries are the worst, really easy to re aggravate those injuries and then you are back to square one. Players also do a balancing act when trying to play with it because you want that quick pop off the line but that’s when the hamstring is the most prone to injury/pain. Maag was not his true self and I’m sure this is not the way he wanted his last season to go. He got snubbed in preseason picks this year and he has some legit talent. Hopefully he can have a comeback year and show the Valley what he is made of!

The Dakota teams (except for NDSU) are the Vikings of the FCS……. But the Big Sky also chokes when playing big games against the MVFC so we will see what happens!

It’s complete BS, FCS schools should demand a change. The MVFC schools have absolutely been screwed with the bracket. I don’t care about regionalism, it should be the best teams playing the worst so that the best teams can make it as far as possible . SDSU, Cal Davis, UNI, EWU, NDSU, USD, SIU all were completely screwed over and each should have had a cupcake FCS team to play in the first round. The playoffs are so lowly rating because of this poor bracketing. I’m glad UND didn’t get in and have to play an EWU first round. Not fair for any Big Sky or MVFC team because they don’t play powder puff football all year! The FCS needs to get away from this D2 mentality!

Well someone talked to him after last season about being too conservative on 4th downs. I don’t recall one 4th down in the 2019 or 2020 season where we went for it on an optional 4th down play and we always punted. this season we finally saw Bubba grow a pair and go for it on more 4th downs than we probably should have. He risked it in the wrong situations and that bite us. I also think there was still some we punted that were more ideal situations than others so the decision making needs to get better. I don’t think Bubba is unwilling to change and I also doubt that people close to the program are having their concerns ignored by Bubba.

NDSU’s second round matchup will be much tougher than their quarterfinal. I see Montana or JMU going to thE dome for the semis

NDSU got screwed with their guaranteed MVFC match up in the second round. This NCAA preference to regionalize match ups does not recognize how garbage the FCS is outside of the Big Sky and MVFC. USD and SIU also go screwed because they would wipe half of the playoff field

Although I wanted to win this game and make the playoffs this season I don’t think we had a championship caliber team that could have went all the way. Yeah I wanted to make a deep playoff run but this team could lose in the couple first rounds. Dumping this coaching staff would dump everything this program has built up. We have really good players and recruits that we are on the cusp of building a championship team with. We CANT afford to start over from scratch! We learned many lessons this season and developed depth that will help us tremendously in the next season. Thank you seniors for bringing excitement to my life again this fall. It’s truly been an honor to watch you guys play the past seasons and I wouldn’t trade anything else other than to be a UND football fan!

I accept that we needed to retire the Sioux logo but it’s replacement sucks! Just because we don’t like the new logo doesn’t mean we all don’t want to move on from the old one. This transition would have gone over better if we had a cool, catchy, unique logo. Instead we got another dumb bird logo and one of the worst ones to boot!

When I wore Sioux logos when traveling everyone knew what the logo was and got shout outs from lots of people. Now when traveling with a Fighting Hawks logo I get more comments about the logo being the Philadelphia Eagles than it being UND……. It’s a shame we went from something recognizable and unmistaken to something non memorable, not noticeable, not unique . Seriously our name and logo sucks

Maybe you should complain about the other teams that don’t have that ugly logo displayed front and center of their uniforms? BB has the Hawks logo where on their jersey? the Fighting Hawks logo is embarrassing so I can see why programs don’t want it anywhere in their uni. Maybe the Hawks logo and name is not a good seller when compared to apparel with just North Dakota on it. Nodaks is a throwback name our university once used in the past so I see no reason why it can’t be on an alternate Jersey. The only reason the fighting Hawks was chosen was because of the word “fighting”, there is nothing special about Hawks and we no longer have a unique brand. maybe our new president should right the ship!

I didn’t think that about Utah State after they lost to Boise. They have been on a roll since losing their two games. They have a talented squad that should roll the Cowboys easily this weekend

Well their program is pretty inferior……. Also I thought they are a football school and not a basketball school? They need to step up their spending on basketball instead of FB if they want to move up to a mid major conference!

SDSU is still ranked higher than USD after losing to them. I still have a hard time believing that SDSU gets left out of the playoffs if they lose to UND next week. They are not going to drop 12 spots…….
