  1. 1 year to play- Don't waste PMA on this, let's put all our PMA (positive mental attitude) towards the hockey game tomorrow.
  2. I knew what you were talking about, but pointing out strategically we have a little $$ available to grab a guy after spring ball or over the summer. (Hopefully a Big Guy to increase the 'size' of our roster)
  3. I only know the name of one of the gals.......not her, but keep'n my eye on those puck bunnies-
  4. Funny - To share 2 recent encounters with UND Hockey only fans. 1 at the regionals in Fargo and 1 at a Sioux Luncheon. In the conversation I stated that I support the hockey team but UND football is my main focus and passion. Both of them, who happen to be female, got a look on their face as if I just cupped a fart in it. It was inconceivable to them. I don't know what to classify these folks as.........
  5. We have a scholarship or two available for any FBS dropdowns after spring games throughout the country. That's by plan -
  6. The biggest unknowns are who's going to start at O-line, and who's going to step up at the Wide Out position next fall? I think the O-line and how it shakes out will surprise some of us. (I know we are unsettled at QB but we know it's going to be 1 of 3 guys, and we have an idea of skill sets at QB)
  7. Bubba was at the game tonight. He said he was busy analyzing practice film on Friday so couldn't make it to the Quinny game. I thought that was kinda funny, shows his level of commitment.
  8. So Hammer was stroking Kliman for being at the UND hockey game......isn't Kliman just reaching out to a portion of his fan base??
  9. 2 games, just guessing....... But, we'll have 3 guys starting that are transfers from this year. (Reed, Arrington, Johnson). Then look at Hinojsa, Flowers, Boas, Bakker, and you have 7 guys on the 2 deep for this year, all transfers. And I am probably missing a guy or two that will be on the 2 deep.
  10. We didn't have much of a choice the 1st year.....we stretched on a couple guys like Jenkins-Moore and we had 2 guys that didn't even show. We are in a much better position this year to perform our due diligence with transfers, although our pot smoking WR isn't looking so hot right now. Anyway, not everyone has the fairy tale college career from recruiting to graduation. If that is the requirement, cast the 1st stone. If the coaches like a transfer and it's their belief a player will make us a better team, I support it.
  11. Watch for Grant Aplin in spring ball at center, possibly at guard, fighting for a starting position. Put him on your radar as a player to watch. I know from multiple sources 1) he has some of the biggest lifts in the weight room 2) his shuttle and vertical are at the top for O-line 3) he was tough as nails on the scout team last year, facing our starters 4) has a good rappot with Studsrud 5) coaches speak well of him as a person. Really, what more could you ask for in a guy?
  12. Correct me if I am wrong, but the injuries now are not expected to be an issue this fall??? It would be a luxury to have 7-8 hogs ready to go this fall.
  13. Depth is a need at RB, Norberg sticks at that position. He isn't very dynamic but if a hole is there he can get some yards. He also might transition into a fullback type, one that can sneak out and catch a ball or two. Butler I believe will be a situational guy used in passing downs to attach the QB. A nickel type that can be played by a safety or LB. Reyes and Johnson at the safeties, Dom, Sweed, Arnell at the backups for safety as it sits now. Spring ball ahead.......we'll know more after that.
  14. Good to hear about Ratelle and the bench record. Ben Leingang never played a meaningful down at UND. I hope Norberg learns to play as big as his bench.
  15. I agree. Crockett has some shortcomings when comparing to NFL talent. 1) lacks a little vision 2) marginal lateral movement 3) if he has a hole for 3 yards, most times he gets you 3 yards (where an NFL type runner would get the 3 yards plus a couple more and even break long runs when nothing is there) His physical upside is when he has a hole for a home run, he has the speed to break it, but at the next level?? He is also durable, I don't think he missed much game time. All things considered.......I don't see NFL for him but it's an extremely high standard. Who carries the ball more next year for SU?? Morelock or Fraizer? I think both bring a little less to the table than Crockett, but what's the view from SU guys? Anyone else going to get carries?
  16. I think you always game plan to stop the run......except for maybe an Eastern Washington, I don't know what the hell to plan against that. I think we will have a lot of run blitzes with the pulling and power run game we'll see from SU. Ratelle should be blowing things up in the backfield when Schmitty calls it at the right time. If we misalign or get caught in something SU could pop a 10-15 yarder. The other thing SU does is wear on you, and run plays you stop in the 1st half are all of a sudden going for 5 - 15 yards a crack. That's why we need some offensive production, to keep our D as fresh as possible. SU's pass attack.......can be hit and miss in my opinion. The young kid they have RJ is pretty good. I'm sure we'll be aware of where he lines up on passing downs.
  17. Yawn....... It is a long time between now and the game. What's on page 2 of 'Moronic Drivel to Post on a Non-Rivals Forum'? Seriously, page 1 wore out!!
  18. Ya, I gave Schmitty some crap about that. Other than being out gunned a little physically they had a LB blowing assignment after assignment. Then, other guys try to start compensating for that, then you end up with a cluster F.
  19. A 3-5 touchdown spread would be the case in any game where one team can move the ball and the other can't. It's a little early to give a score but Bubba and Schmitty are familiar with SU, this won't be their 1st rodeo in the Fargo Dome.
  20. I am not as scared of this game as Bison fans think we should be. We can play against the run, we face wide-outs better than what NDSU has almost every week, and NDSU did lose a lot on D. But, I'm sure they'll still be talented all the way around and Wentz is a serious player with a good O-line. NDSU is more of a known entity than we are, so a lot is going to have to do with our offense being able to step up their game. Just some initial thoughts-
  21. To be determined. We will get a look at his ball skills and what he can do in live action. WR is pretty open for playing time, but Reed definitely brings some toughness to the position.
  22. 'Opinion' Moron, now beat it-
  23. I'll be on the sideline with the team. I doubt you are even connected to the NDSU program. So, not worried one bit about what you think is the truth.
  24. Haven't we heard enough from this guy? Forever?
