22 Will Ratelle's. No punter needed, go for 2 every time.

I commend the Jacks for the vision of 19,000 plus sell-outs. As mentioned, Sioux Falls, Population 178,500 and growing is an hour away and Watertown is pretty dinky but is also part of the fan base. I like the Jacks program. I think they can keep growing their base, and I look forward to the drive. SDSU is innovative on offense and play as hard as anyone. As a player, you didn't want to be an opponent on Hobo Days. Still a lot of work to do in GF in selling out the Alerus.

I went to IHOP this morning, in his honor.

Maybe someone should have taken the advice of NFL scouts.......apply for a medical hardship and prove you can stay healthy 1 year in college.

The eye test. Big, moved well.

I got 3 - Offense - Cam Mckinney - He is the only guy close to running with Santiago. Defense - Zeke Ott - Is this a 'next level' type athlete, could be?? & Lenny Nelson - Looked legit at the spring game. We need to win 1 on 1 battles as I suspect we'll be forcing teams to throw in 2018.

Whoa!! Good for him, he's a good guy!!

I've been imagining there is beer, with girls in bikinis!!!

So he has a history of punching lockers and breaking hand/wrist........

We need several 'real deals' in the secondary or we are toast this year. Our Corners have a shot at being pretty good with a healthy Harris, Holm, Blubaugh, Carter has played quite a bit, and it'd be a good thing if Nelson jumped all of them to solidify Corner. However, with the safety position, I don't see a scenario in which our peak performance will be anything more than average.

Keep in mind a QB doesn't need a strong arm nor a good offensive line to execute an effective screen game. Keaton had some intangibles to do some things in my opinion other than a traditional drop back passer. That's the part I put on the program, gotta play with what you have. 2018, definitely looking at a QB to take control of the O........but expectations are middle of the road, that way I can easily jump either way without pulling a hammy.

Not having Gordon as RB is just stupid. Put me in that boat.

We don't want to advertise the new wrinkles and the __________ series they are putting in. Just guessing -

"Stiegelmeier said he hadn't eaten all day, was at home doing taxes and had some wine before he went out without thinking about how much he had to drink." He'd better budget about $10,000 more in personal expenses next year!!!

Really good listen! Refreshing to hear good football minds with Craig and Kelly. Diamond back field, would love that. Kelly had me rolling with the Stonebrook flashback when what seemed like 2- 1st downs and 80 total yards, and won on the Tillman pick 6.

It doesn't help with an AD still in Washington, and a president interviewing in Florida. That's not comforting to donors right now.

Right, if all the coaches got together and wasted countless weeks on video, testing, interviewing kids, maybe a list of top 250 would mean a little, but nothing more than that. It's amazing after a 9 win season 2 years ago we were the darling of all these lists and polls, and now after a 3 win season we are no where to be found unless a kid had a previous power 5 offer. I doubt the last 2 years of recruits are all that different, yet the hype is because of what really matters, W's vrs L's. We still need to improve depth and talent on our roster, no arguments there.

Here is what I make of It- Tomorrow, I am going to not review the list and instead grab a cone from Dairy Queen. It will be way more satisfying and I will still know the same (probably more) as those that looked at the list.

Sucking in our own conference. We just did that last year!!

Overall, a lot of good points. Yes, being 3-8 leaves a lot of positions open!! I have 2 critiques: 1) I would keep Gordon at RB. We are an injury away from needing #4 if you place the RB order of 1)John 2)Brady 3)JJ 4)Gordon. If we used our best players in space and created positive match-ups we'd have more touches for RBs. 2) Interesting view that the UNDFB360 guys would mention Garett Maag down the road as this flex receiver/TE creating a lot of stress on the defense. This would probably be a true statement if Maag went to SDSU. I agree with the 360 boys that inside backer, the bigger players themselves, will be a huge positive this year. The secondary is a total wild card for this team.

We had one of those in the 90's.

Unless, behind the scenes, we find a screen game and get our best players on the field at the same time. We should see more deep balls this year, too. (not overly confident on these things) On defense, either stop the run or have a respectable pass defense. Another year of neither is not acceptable.

Who's going to be our scout QB? Don't we need a walk-on for that? Let's not repeat the past of pulling our scout QB off the practice squad and start him the following week.

Take any opposing offense last season. Here is the scouting report on UND. D-line - pretty good, Linebackers - not good inside and undersized outside, Secondary - not good. Pretty much any offense in the league could take their 5 o-lineman and even add a tight end and in theory double team each of our 3 D-lineman. The result was opposing RBs were at the LBs with a 2 yard gain, and then drag them for another 5 yards, for a 7 yard gain. I think our D-line is more talented than what they looked but suffered because 1) 3 man front is our scheme so our strongest position has the least amount of players on the field and 2) rest of D wasn't a concern for opposing offenses.
