I realize you can't realistically keep every player until they are seniors, but could you imagine what this team would look like worth senior Nick Schmaltz, junior Brock Boeser, and sophomore Tyson Jost in the lineup at forward. Throw in senior Tucker Poolman anchoring the defense with Wolanin opposite him? Good God. I don't think we would have any worries about the pairwise bubble bursting and finding ourselves on the outside.

EXACTLY! Don't think for one second that the other 3 teams in St. Paul this weekend wouldn't love to be the ones to end UND's season.

Put quite frankly, we wanted in the hard conference, and we haven't played well enough to be in the tourney this year. I'm all for the you want to be there, win it attitude we have to take going into this weekend.

I know this isn't exactly UND or college hockey related, but as I was reading through this, it reminded me of playing in Denver this season...... If you click the thread, it goes into great detail, the 24-0 penalty minutes made me laugh.

But Oxbow's quote came from this page, not Instagram. Someone else screen shot it and shared it here, meaning they are watching this forum. So which is it, is this forum free to discuss frustrations, or should we police it to where there's no questioning of people's dedication and effort? Honestly, if they are calling out a poster from a fan forum on social media, Oxbow is right, they are spending entirely too much time on here. Let's not pretend that this season hasn't given every frustrated fan enough reason to question every player on the team at one point or another, including the coaching staff. From Cam letting in some extreme softies to lose games, to Rhett taking terrible penalties, to Wolanin making some boneheaded defensive plays, to everyone on the team at one time or another making some real head scratchers, to the coaching staff playing a defensive line at the end of the game when you need a goal. I don't subscribe to the theory that we shouldn't be hard on them or even get a little personal on a fan forum once in a while, because several of these players think they are ready to be pros next season, and it's not going to get any better.

Or............ load up a team chock full of NHL talent, let Dane win it his first season, and declare Berry a failure.

I'm not sure what everyone's problem is, we won the natty in 2016.

He certainly could have used another year of development.

Kennedy won't be around either.

Wow, one off the rocker season and you all implode.

I'm not burning the wagon yet. This season is a disappointment, no doubt, but it would look very different with a junior Brock Boeser and sophomore Tyson Jost, with losing Jost especially hurting because we could use him at center as well as pp. While we have some over aged kids coming, who are off the radar, I'm okay with this, and I'm extremely intrigued by Weatherby.

As much as I'm disappointed with the season, I am very pleased at how many people are singing Hak's praises. I knew people would want his consistency back at the first sign of trouble, I just never expected it would occur so fast.

I had a nice exchange with Pattyn on Facebook following that game. Possibly my second favorite UND player ever. There's dedication to the program, then there's Pattyn level dedication. Although I do have a tendency to like the role playing guys that are here for 4 years over the blue chippers that are here for 2.
