  1. If we're shooting for stars, let's just make it 8 in a row and laugh about how we knew all along how great this team is.
  2. 3 defenseman on the pp? Did I hear that right?
  3. But Oxbow's quote came from this page, not Instagram. Someone else screen shot it and shared it here, meaning they are watching this forum. So which is it, is this forum free to discuss frustrations, or should we police it to where there's no questioning of people's dedication and effort? Honestly, if they are calling out a poster from a fan forum on social media, Oxbow is right, they are spending entirely too much time on here. Let's not pretend that this season hasn't given every frustrated fan enough reason to question every player on the team at one point or another, including the coaching staff. From Cam letting in some extreme softies to lose games, to Rhett taking terrible penalties, to Wolanin making some boneheaded defensive plays, to everyone on the team at one time or another making some real head scratchers, to the coaching staff playing a defensive line at the end of the game when you need a goal. I don't subscribe to the theory that we shouldn't be hard on them or even get a little personal on a fan forum once in a while, because several of these players think they are ready to be pros next season, and it's not going to get any better.
  4. Or............ load up a team chock full of NHL talent, let Dane win it his first season, and declare Berry a failure.
  5. I'm not sure what everyone's problem is, we won the natty in 2016.
  6. He certainly could have used another year of development.
  7. Wow, one off the rocker season and you all implode.
  8. I'm not burning the wagon yet. This season is a disappointment, no doubt, but it would look very different with a junior Brock Boeser and sophomore Tyson Jost, with losing Jost especially hurting because we could use him at center as well as pp. While we have some over aged kids coming, who are off the radar, I'm okay with this, and I'm extremely intrigued by Weatherby.
  9. Or the season, power play, penalty kill, etc...
  10. Good God, don't feed the trolls. Or are you just the same person and having a conversation with yourself?
  11. As much as I'm disappointed with the season, I am very pleased at how many people are singing Hak's praises. I knew people would want his consistency back at the first sign of trouble, I just never expected it would occur so fast.
  12. I had a nice exchange with Pattyn on Facebook following that game. Possibly my second favorite UND player ever. There's dedication to the program, then there's Pattyn level dedication. Although I do have a tendency to like the role playing guys that are here for 4 years over the blue chippers that are here for 2.
  13. Lol. I didn't realize Gersich even scored last night. Oh well.
  14. I've seen that about 10 times done by Omaha.
  15. Too many spectators on the pk. Hopefully they paid for their tickets.
  16. I've always said that one of Hak's problems was essentially overachieving. Everyone likes to look at his overall frozen four record, but outside DOT and Pony years, which did disappoint, he took some teams to the frozen four that really had no business being there.
  17. He still makes one or two big saves a game now. Let's not pretend that sustained zone pressure, and dmen clearing pucks to the corners on gravy rebounds hasn't changed the dynamic. He had a once in a lifetime defensive corps in front of him. I don't understand how it's even a question why he hasn't looked the same the last two seasons. Outside the defensemen, it's not hard to see the difference between the forwards then, and now. Caggiula's example had them buzzing pretty much every night, factor in Johnson, Pogo, and Gardner physically abusing the opponents top line nightly, again, it's not hard to figure out the difference. Last year's team, and certainly this year's bears no resemblance, not just skill wise, but tenacity and effort.
  18. I can tell you what happened. Ladue, Stecher, Ausmus, Poolman, and Thompson.
