  1. Lol. I didn't realize Gersich even scored last night. Oh well.
  2. I've seen that about 10 times done by Omaha.
  3. Too many spectators on the pk. Hopefully they paid for their tickets.
  4. I've always said that one of Hak's problems was essentially overachieving. Everyone likes to look at his overall frozen four record, but outside DOT and Pony years, which did disappoint, he took some teams to the frozen four that really had no business being there.
  5. He still makes one or two big saves a game now. Let's not pretend that sustained zone pressure, and dmen clearing pucks to the corners on gravy rebounds hasn't changed the dynamic. He had a once in a lifetime defensive corps in front of him. I don't understand how it's even a question why he hasn't looked the same the last two seasons. Outside the defensemen, it's not hard to see the difference between the forwards then, and now. Caggiula's example had them buzzing pretty much every night, factor in Johnson, Pogo, and Gardner physically abusing the opponents top line nightly, again, it's not hard to figure out the difference. Last year's team, and certainly this year's bears no resemblance, not just skill wise, but tenacity and effort.
  6. I can tell you what happened. Ladue, Stecher, Ausmus, Poolman, and Thompson.
  7. That'll never happen, that was all Berry. The program could be a disaster in 5 years, and it will be Hak's fault.

    UND vs. CC

So he's essentially guaranteed to stone wall two shutouts this weekend. Awesome.
  9. Time to time? Each series is more like it. He let in his softy, then usually shut it down. Except with .6 seconds to go.
  10. Boeser apparently won the accuracy competition. Just got a text from my father in law.
  11. Anderson...simpel quezton.
  12. That's still solid, kudos to the aviators.
  13. I hear you, I said it last year before the season even started and was blasted for it. Not only the defensemen, but you had a group of forwards, while offensively dynamic, were defensively sound. It made the goalie job much easier.
  14. The most frustrating thing for me is that they looked better earlier in the year than they have of late, and it's something none of us are used to. We're all used to the second half surge, and it's simply not happening this year. Stealing a win tonight would go a long way in buying some time to figure things out.
  15. JJ, he's gotta get one at some point.
  16. Seems like this has been said a lot this season.
  17. I wish Parise and Oshie would stay healthy in my nhl 18 gm mode. That's what we're talking about, right?
  18. I don't ever recall being in that dire of straights, but if we were, it obviously got accomplished. But hey, all those fans saying they'd give up all the year in and year out success for a championship might actually get it starting this season. Again, i think this team has the ability, but I'm just not seeing the motivation or effort.
  19. Based on Hak's past then, I'm assuming we wouldn't be having this conversation because it's the second half and we'd be coming off a sweep in Duluth and would have our eyes on Sioux Falls.
  20. In regards to sitting players, at what point do you sit people with a letter on their sweater? Part of being ready, and putting forth 60 minutes is on the captains. Honestly, we have some freshman and sophomores that shouldn't be sitting based strictly on their effort. If you want competition, no ones playing time should be guaranteed week to week, except for maybe Wolanin. I still think this team has all the parts to hang number 9, they just need to start clicking.
  21. I could really go for some BWW.
  22. Personally, i think team makeup might have something to do with it. What do we have for entertainment value this season? Our most offensively gifted player is a defenseman. We don't have any personalities like Steph Pattyn and Ben Blood. We don't have offensive juggernauts like DOT, Pony Express, or CBS. Now factor in the prices of what many people ask for retail vs the entertainment value on the ice and i think you have your answer. Maybe it's just me, but while I still follow and watch every game I can, the thought of paying over $100 a ticket for a team that could lay a goose egg on the weekend makes me second guess my purchase. This is coming from a guy that would happily spend a grand per weekend driving to Grand Forks and buying tickets right on the glass.
