I really don't understand how penalties are called. Clean hit. Poolman gets the penalty but Storm chases guys all over the ice cross checking and trying to start a fight, nothing. Then a Clown player drops like he's shot as he's being pursued and they get a 5 on 3.

I missed the replay, what did he do. My wife and mother in law are yapping non stop.

I'll admit, I into the category of someone who would be there this weekend but am not going. It's a bit of a trek from Jamestown for me, I'm playing in a basketball tournament tomorrow, and quite frankly, this team hasn't inspired me. Give it fatigue from DAPL, or a host of other reasons, but I'm just not into this season as much. Really, I just haven't connected to this team. In the past I always wanted to see the seniors one more time. See Blood put on the number 24 one last time. See Pattyn face wash one last time. Or, just see the team play because it felt special, Pony Express, DOT, CBS.

I doubt it. I thought I read when Hak went to Philly, he wanted Dane to come and Dane turned it down. As much as I'm sure being a head coach is a goal of his,I would think you'd want the right program, which I don't see RPI as being.

She's in a tough spot with the party she's in. She was down several times to the forward base at Ft. Rice. I have to hand it to Bergum though, as soon as he was elected he was visiting the site and at least attempting to get the situation over with. Pretty weird to look up from the front and see the Governor elect walking by in jeans. Old Jack never stepped foot down there that I could tell.

Also, it shouldn't be skipped that this member has a total of 9 posts, two of which took place in this thread. Kudos to him/her.

Here's my perspective. There were/are a lot of younger players on this team that may have experience, but they don't have that gut wrenching losing in the Frozen Four two years in a row, one to our most hated rival in the most heartbreaking way experience that last year's juniors and seniors did. They are all still on a high from last season, and likely not making the tournament this season may serve the next couple teams well.

I wish they would go back to the 10-11 intro song. That gave me goosebumps.

I got blasted for saying this very same thing at the beginning of the season.

As much as this may be the case, they need to win, not just play well at this point. I was really hoping I'd have to buy a plane ticket to Chicago, but at this point, I'm not confident they make it to Fargo.
