I said earlier that we can't overlook these guys, and we can't. However now that we seem to have an actual offense I think we'll handle them. Last year when our offense really couldn't muster up 20 points on their own the during the first half of the year, you would still have to be a little worried. There wasn't much room for mistake last year, and if a pick six or something happened against us it was up hill for us. Last year if we got down 0-7 it felt like a hole, this year if we happen to get down 0-7.....I think it'll just be like....well let's go get that 7 back....and we have the weapons to do it. It's nice knowing that we don't have to only rely on 8-10 play drives to score, and that we can break some big plays and take it to the house. Hopefully that will continue all year.....fun seeing that again!!

We didn't just win, we held WYO to 29 yards rushing when they are a predominantly rushing team and wanted to run it down our throat, and we controlled the whole game start to finish. We realize it is just one win, but as homer stated......it has peaked the interest of the casual football fan that was previously not interested. And yes......that "My Oh My"........so annoying. Although I did enjoy texting "My Oh My" to my Bison buddies after Montana converted that 4th and goal, especially since they sent that same text to me after MT kicked their game winning field goal against us last year.

I would pretty much agree with those percentages. I don't think we are going to jump up to 8-3 this year but it's possible. My previous prediction was 6-5, I'll bump that up to 7-4. As we saw from the other scores around the conference there are 6-7 other really solid teams in our conference this year. Not having to play EWU really helps us this year.

I remember that summer reading an article, I believe it was from a K-state press person about their season opener that year and how they could lose it. They just lost their stud QB and a few other people, weren't sure who their QB was going to be that year etc.. And while it was NDSU's Super Bowl, for K-state it was a warm up game to try and figure things out. They did end up being a pretty good team by the end of the year and it was a very nice win for you guys against an FBS team, so I will certainly give you that. However I think if you guys were playing them at the end of the year in a Bowl game it would have been a different result. Also I clicked on an article a week or two ago, it was a list of the top 10 worst FBS programs/teams. Two of the teams you beat were on it, Kansas and Iowa State. You have several FBS wins though, congratulations on that. But you can't brag about all of yours and then knock it when we get one. Oh wait....you are Bison fans....yes you can.

I'm hoping we play another solid game next week, control the entire game, and win big. Let's not get ahead of ourselves though thinking we are going to blow them out. Seems like I recall the Wyoming fan base thinking they were going to beat us by 20-30 points and we know how that turned out.

Yep....I'd like to see his stat line read something like 12-19 for 195 yards, 1 TD....no picks. There will be 3-4 times where receivers will be open for 20-30 plus yard gains, we are going to have to connect on those to get a few decent sized gains. NG will be a little thin due to suspension, this certainly won't help against a power running team. I think we could possibly win this and really hope we do, but if I had money on it....I'd go with something like 26-17 Wyoming.

Man I guess I need to stay away from this thread for a few days, nothing but garbage and mud being thrown around on here now. Dumpster fire is the appropriate name. Sicatoka you should have known not to even say that in a joking manner, as you should have known a few of the NDSU people would take that and try and spin it as much as they could no matter what way you may have meant it. Sometimes you have to think about what you say and how it may be portrayed from other people outside UND. We aren't a dirty team and never have been, and I don't think it's good to give anybody........ any fuel for a fire. Just my opinion. I wonder if there will even be any meaningful discussion on this thread now leading up to September 19th, or if it will all be complete trash and bashing each others schools the whole time.

This is a 110% trolling comment, this does not pertain to the game.....just an NDSU person trying to brag up NDSU and stir the pot. Users who make comments like this should get immediate ban for a week or two, especially when they are known trolls. It's crap like this that takes away from good discussion that is on topic.

You know what would be really tough, being a true freshman on the scout team......and coming in with one week of practice and an unproven offensive line and WR's and taking on Vernon Adams

NDSU will be a very good team, and their defense will likely improve as the year goes. However I think they may have dropped from almost being in a league of their own.....to being in the mix at the very top of the pack.

I'd say it lessens the chance quite a bit that they come to Fargo now.

That was a great game, after the poor choice to go for it on 4th down right before the half gave NDSU 7 points.....I didn't think MT would be able to overcome that.

You're right it should have, my bad. When I logged on I was looking for maybe a thread just about the game but there wasn't one, but I saw a couple people posting on here about the game so I did too. I see there is talk on the FCS thread....wish I would have been posting on that one...more people on there discussing the game lol.

Exactly.....it's ok to be aggressive.......but you can blame 110% of that 7 points on a totally uncalled for 4th down attempt. Apparently he doesn't know who he is playing. Should be tied at half time and MT getting ball to start the half, just flat out dumb.

Those are some dumb 4th down calls to go for it by MT. I bet NDSU puts up 7 right now.

NDSU's OL has about 70 lbs on MT's defensive line.....I think NDSU's offense will own them in the second half. MT better score some TD's if they want to keep it close.
