I agree that Rudolph has realized we need to throw the ball a little to loosen things up, and I think he's called some good games lately. I think he's realized he needs to, also Joe has improved.....and Bartels looks good, so I think he has a little more comfort in mixing it up a little which does then help the run game. I wouldn't run the ball much either if I was SUU, I think we are suspect on defense to the pass and teams will be able to move it on us if their QB is on. However this year at least the defense is capable of making a big play and getting a pick. So even though they may get some passes and yards, hopefully we can bend but not break. And have our offense score some and run clock.

Even when we had our good teams that were deep playoff run type of teams, usually there was one game during the year where we barely won, or lost to an average or below average team. And that is when we had a solid offense, defense, and special teams. We definitely don't have a solid offense this year and are capable of laying an egg any given weekend. I don't think it will be this weekend, I think we will win but it will be a 4 quarter game. I think SUU is going to want this one as bad as we do.

Wasn't UNI ranked # 3 when we beat them in their house back when Dressler was playing? That one should count also.

I've only been on this site for about a year, up until now I thought mj23 was the only bison person on here that wasn't trying to be a dick....until now. But if you don't think beating the #2 team at their place gets you a little respect, especially after coming very close to knocking off the #7 team in Montana then you are nuts. The statement said earn some respect, he didn't say that knocking #2 would make every team fearful of us like we are a power house or something. And beating the 1 win team wasn't a big part of the earning the respect, it's just that you still have to beat them because anything can happen. NDSU should know that you can sometimes play down to the level of the competition....like they did with Weber State keeping it close.

This is going to be a tough one for Bubba, he'll be damn if he does and damned if he doesn't. I think Bartels deserves a shot, but I think they will stick with Joe because he was designated their 'starter'. It's kind of funny how people hate when the head coach can't make a decision and stick with one guy and flip flops, but many are now hoping he does lol. Joe has been playing better lately, and I'd feel bad for him if he had to ride the bench now when he was driving the team down the field when he got hurt. That said, like the one poster said......we are not making a deep playoff run this year.....and it would be nice to know what Bartels can do with this offense. Joe has been playing better, but it is a fact that our offense has been poor at best up to this point. Definitely not all Joes fault, but if Ryan can move the team with a poor line and make the plays to overcome it and get us in the end zone..........he should get a chance.

I agree, I think Rudolph is going to be a good coordinator for us, he was just calling it extremely conservative against Stoney Brook. I think the play calling has been good the last few games.

Joe had a great start going 7/8 but it seems like you just felt something different when Bartels was in there. Even though Joe played well this game before going out, I think Bartels deserves a shot at a full game.

That was a bizarre final minute, thank god we hung on to win that one.....would have been heart breaking. We needed that W!!

Ugh Bartels missed that one.....coulda been a first down. Hope we are not setting ourselves up for another heart breaking loss at the end.

Don't think Norberg is injured, they need the quicker back in who can bust it outside against their defense. Up the gut is not working at all on them, that's why he's not in as much IMO.

Bartels is looking good now! May have a QB controversy on our hands again after all if he keeps this up. I think he was just rusty and not ready getting thrown in so quick like that in the first half, but he seems to have regrouped and is totally in it now.

True....but I'd sure rather feel more comfortable with Joe in there right now than Bartels. We'll see, maybe Bartels will regroup over half time and come out and play well.

Yep, wish Joe was in there, but people who were wanting Bartels are getting their wish.

Joe had a very nice start to the game and on a roll, wish he was still in there actually. I guess those that were asking for Bartels, even in the first half last week will get their wish. Not a good start for him on the first possession.

I guess everybody is at the game today......and I'm talking to myself lol.

Probably the best drive of the year, too bad it had to stall and we couldn't get 7.
