Put in somebody who can at least to the QB center exchange better than at a 6th grade level.
-
I'm not going to lie, I felt before this game.....the way I felt before games when Muss was our coach and we were going to play a touch opponent. First time I felt that way right before a game all season.
-
3rd dropped snap now....wow
-
Final score.....49-10?
-
I don't think when we've had the ball, the ball has been 5 yards down field in the air yet has it?
-
They just discovered now, how easy it is to pass on us, even though they had seen it on tape.
-
Ugh.....i think this is going to get ugly in the second half. All they have to do is throw the ball up. Fortunately they wasted most of the first half running.
-
Not going to win settling for field goals when we have it first and goal from inside the 5. Sounds like Bartels through was late, seems go be a theme for our QB'S this year....late with their throws
-
We've done nothing since that first run. Also if they tracked balls on the ground for a season we'd be setting a record this year.
-
So this game won't be streaming anywhere?

I have to admit, not that I was clammering for Bartels when Studsrud was making some poor throws, but I did wonder what Bartels could do. After seeing the tape last week, those two TO's Bartels had were horrible. There is no way on gods earth that fumble should have happened in the 4th quarter, he saw that guy coming the whole time. He threw one nice deep ball for a TD, but he missed several other passes, and of course that pick was terrible. If Joe is healthy I'm totally for seeing what he can do. Honestly I don't care if they swap between Bartels or Mollberg the rest of this year (assuming Studs is out) to see who is better. The way things are going we are going to go into next year in the same position as this year, not knowing who the heck should really be the starter. If Joe is healthy, I'd like to see him get a shot.

If Montana is smart they will load the box from the get go, and not wait until the second half. For our sake I hope they don't. This is such a tough one to call, if their QB was healthy....there is no way we would be able to stop their passing attack. With the freshman in, if we get some pressure and cause some turnovers (this would mean our defenders would actually have to catch a ball) and we are able to run the ball, burn some clock and put up some points it could be close....and we could win. However I will go with 34-31 Griz.

Geezes I thought after the NDSU game was over we were done with some of these NDSU Yahoos, but they lose against a poor team at home and they have to come back to the UND board to remind us and defend how good they are, and stir stuff up. 2011....did you really think after you guys came over here non stop before, telling us how you guys are gods gift to the football world and how crappy UND is, that when you lose to a crappy team we aren't going to make a few comments. Get a grip man. Then after you've gotten grip...come back in 2019 when we play again.

Wow....I agree....those two TO's were horrible. I thought on the fumble they were saying that Bartels was trying to hand off but got hit before he could, but that obviously wasn't the case. He totally saw that guy coming and had some time and is no way he should have fumbled that....wow.

Voted for Roughriders.....

Nah....don't leave. I think he was just trying to point out that it wasn't a "football only" fan that started the hockey comments. Can't we all just get along

After a tough loss, especially after the second tough loss in a row......I like to stay away from the board for the few hours after the game.....it's so easy to get real upset and want to throw everybody under the bus. Which I know the minutes after the end of the game.....I sure want to. But when I step back and look at it, and look at our team.......I look at a second year coach and a team that still has a number of positions to increase the talent level at, as well as depth....which will come with time (hopefully soon). So I look at our team and I think about so many things that we are missing and are not where we want them to be (need better WR's, defensive backs, a more solid QB to name just a few). And even with all of that, we are two 4th quarter 14 point blown leads.....from being 6-1. And I truly believe if we were not missing 4 starters on defense the last two weeks, we win both of them and are sitting at 6-1 (ok lets say we just win 1 of those two if we had all 4 starters and are 5-2...still pretty good). I am as frustrated as anybody though that we couldn't pull those two games out however. Lets remember this Weber team just beat Montana.....in Montana. But I'm sure some of you will say.....but MT's QB's were hurt and they were on 3rd string QB. Those are the same people who will say......doesn't matter if we don't have 4 starters on defense, the next guy needs to step up and fill in at the same level. And I do realize that our offense made enough mistakes which if they played better we could have overcome this and still won. Anyway, even though this sucks right now.....to me the fact that most of us feel we are missing the talent needed in many positions and we are still competing at a pretty high level bodes well. Once we get those players and more depth, I have no doubt we will consistently be a top 10-15 team or better, and making runs at Championships. Second half adjustments. I do feel like we got out coached in the second half the last two weeks. However when you have twice as much offense as the other team in the first half like against Weber, which team do you think needs to make adjustments? We had scored 17 points in the first half....which easily could have been 24 if we didn't blow the 2nd and goal from the 4 yard line. I'm probably not going to make a lot of adjustments to that during half time. However I do agree that once the other team makes their half time adjustments, we definitely have not reacted to it well to it in the third quarter...and that is on the coaches. Particularly offensively needs to adjust in second half and make changes. Defensively....with the guys on the field the last two weeks I'm not sure Bill Belichick could scheme up a game plan to totally stop teams that want to do up tempo and throw it around on us. That said, I'm disappointed that one of our guys....couldn't make a big play somewhere. That 3rd and 13 on about our 40 yard line that went for a TD was a killer. Bottom line after these two weeks, both coaches and players need to improve....there is enough blame to go around. But lets not forget that two years ago we were getting blown out by 30 multiple times a year. Every game other than NDSU has been close, and we really should have won every game other than NDSU. Geez.......sorry I really got long winded! .
-
I think you are spot on there. And after teams watch Weber who is not a passing game...rip us apart with fast tempo and passing.....other teams might finally realize they should just start like that in the 1st quarter, which if they do.......we are in trouble.
-
True, but we weren't down by much. We had two chances and only needed to get into field goal range.
-
Guess we will be playing for pride the rest of the season.
-
We need Schliesner (sp) right now
-
Lots of great college football games on today....thought we were heading for a victory today.....and was just loving college football today. This loss really screws things up.
-
How come the commentators realize the middle of the field is open for pass plays....but we never take advantage of it.
-
Well....defensive collapse, inept offense in second half, and key TO. Ground Hogs Day from last week.
-
We were trying to run.....QB got hit before he could even hand the ball off, that is how bad of hole their was on the OL.
