I agree. And coming out and trying to establish the run has not worked all freaking season. Come out and throw it, that has established the run for us in the second half. I'd like to see the stats a few of the games...looking at our rushing yards and YPC in the first half, compared to the 2nd half once we started opening things up out of necessity.

If we would start games with more of an open offense, the runs would be there. But starting out the game we avg about 1.5 YPC the first quarter or two. Then boom in second half we started getting big chunks on the ground when we are airing it out more. THAT is what our offense needs to look like from the start with the current players we have!

UND secondary = QB whisperers. Do you have a freshman QB.....a 3rd or 4th string inexperienced QB......well just play UND and we'll give him a QB rating over 100 to start his first game. Montana's backup QB threw for what 400 yards on a couple of years ago, or was it 500 yards.

Note to self, dont' start drinking the green cool aid in the off season about how our OL is going to be better next year because they are one year older. Either you have it or you don't. JMU won a National Championship with a freshman lineman who had to play due to injury.

Their 4th string QB is 8-11 for over 200 yards and 2 TD's in his first ever college game. I seriously sometimes wonder if a high school QB could come in with a week of practice and complete 60% of his passes against us.

Our offense looks like it's the one with 8 starters out. If our OL doesn't improve drastically next year we won't be much better than a .500 team even if healthy.

Shades of a couple years ago when we couldn't even execute the snap properly.

Man when we have our backup we couldn't get a first down for our first 5 series. Their 3rd or 4th QB comes in and they run it what..... 10 straight times on us at will, one pass in there.

I had super low expectations when we played UNC after that disaster at Davis, but we actually played pretty well against UNC minus the last 5 minutes for the second quarter and got the W. So this time I do have some expectations for this week, but maybe I should just go back to setting the bar extremely low.....leaving potential to be surprised if something good happens, and not too disappointed if it doesn't go well. Although I know come game time I'll be wanting and looking forward to seeing some good things!

I am hoping/expecting for them to come out with a lot of purpose and passion, like they did when we played UNC at home (which also followed an ugly loss on the road). If they do that, and play a pretty clean game.....and Sac State still beats us.....I won't be happy, but I can at least live with it. Last week I said it was going to be JJ and Izzy's true coming out party, it was a little bit for JJ. This week lets hope they hit Izzy deep for a big play and TD!
