Watching the game on a laptop over at my buddies before we go to the bar in an hour. Looks like I won't be too upset about having to miss the second half.

Our loss to USD doesn't look quite as bad know, but our follow up loss to MSU kind of cemented our perception this year, which unfortunately is also reality. Will be interesting to see how the USD verses SDSU and NDSU turns out. Hoping Streveler stays healthy the rest of the year and knocks them both off.

I think the team meeting will have helped some and they will play inspired and with some passion. Although a team meeting doesn't make up for our lack of size and experience up the middle on defense. That said I'm going with 31-28 UND and will be hoping for a win of any kind just to get something positive going. I'm not sure how good they are on defense up the middle, but this might be a case of where I want to see what our young OL can do and try and establish the run and build some confidence. However if it's not working, don't wait until the second half to start airing it out. Do whatever it takes to win today....we need this!

Santiago and Brady may have something to say about this. Also it may be too early to really tell right now, we are kind of at that middle point where Mussman's recruits are the juniors and seniors and on the way out, and Bubba's true recruiting classes are really only red-shirt freshman and sophomores this year(except for guys like Santiago and Brady who go their shirts pulled and are juniors). How many teams are lead by freshman and sophomores.......not many!! I'm not 100% sure but wasn't the year that NDSU went 3-8 or something like that kind of about the same time, Bohl had been there a couple of years so his guys were freshman and sophomores and the previous coach's guys were juniors and seniors, or maybe just seniors, and then after that year they took the next leap. Noah Larson looks like he is going to be quite the Stud, Rodgers is looking really good at ILB too. Boltmann sure seems promising as well. Wasn't it Hero or some other site ranked UND's last recruiting class in the top 10-15 within the FCS? Believe me I have some questions right now like we all do, but I think the jury is still out on Bubba's recruits. Also.....we are not 1-10 yet

He pushed the Montana player in the back that was on the pile up, they were all still standing if I recall but we had stopped them and they were blowing the play dead. It happened probably literally right when the whistle blew....or maybe a hair afterwards...I couldn't actually hear the whistle. I remember when I saw it Live I was like....oh crap....please don't throw a flag. I think it was one of those things where as a defense they've been frustrated the past two weeks.....and we stopped them.....and Tank was just being a bit aggressive, he shouldn't have done it though. That was another one of those plays that was just like.....UGH, thinking we would have held them to a field goal there instead of them getting a TD.

I thought Keaton was playing inspired and trying to get the team going, he had a couple of nice runs that got the crowd excited and got us some momentum....we just couldn't seem to keep it. He did miss a few throws on Saturday, although a couple of them could have been on the WR not being in the right place....not sure. We haven't used Keaton in the run game much this year. At this point I'd say open it up and use him a little more, he's a senior....I'm sure he wants to make any play that he can. He has been able to break some big runs the last couple of years right up the middle. Also I don't think I've seen the fullback get the ball recently, I'm guessing that is because Norberg is out. We often did pretty well on that fullback plunge when they weren't expecting it.

Exactly this. I know we want out identity to be pound the rock, but the only thing we've done to start each game with this year in the first half is to prove that we can NOT run the ball!! Then we start airing it out a little and then all of the sudden we start to get some success on the ground....imagine that. We had 47 yards of offense in the first half before that long pass play to Mercer. Coaches need to figure out we don't have the OL to come out of the gate and just try and pound the rock against good teams.

Not getting that TD was huge, not saying we for sure win the game or something if we do but if we get a TD there........mentally I think we are feeling good and moving on from the USD game. But after that, and then getting the field goal blocked.......that was a huge blow in momentum, especially since they came down and scored right after. It just felt like a continuation from the USD game after we got that field goal blocked. That one sack that we had their QB for a 7-8 yard loss and he totally got out of it and then they later scored a TD on the drive was also big.

Yep, gotta get a win next week to at least get some kind of confidence back so that we can win at least a few games this year and make it respectable.

He already redshirted one year right......would he even be eligible? Sure hope that is not his last game played, more for his sake so he can at least finish the year strong.

Right, and if he was able to redshirt them like you would normally want to do......his first true recruiting class would be Sophomores and his second true recruiting class would be redshirt freshman.

Well on the bright side, between last week and this week.....two games, I've only had to be pissed of for 4 quarters, because was no need to even care in the second half because the game was out of hand. Hoping we can get back into this the second half but I'm not holding my breath.

I agree, Studs has been good at times and this is not all on him. However it seems so many times we play a team with an amazing QB that is making plays all over the place, why can't we ever get a difference makers as a QB instead of a game manager. If we just swapped QB's in this game alone.....we might be ahead or at least tied. Their QB has single handedly beat us with his great runs and has had some nice passes. Our D has made a little of that easy for him though, but he is quick and not easy to tackle.

I've defended Rudy at times in the past........but 47 yards of offense so far...and almost to halftime. Yeah think it may be time for him to go.

Silver lining.....thank goodness Harris was injured before the season started so that hopefully will have him next year. Would have been a waste to have him playing this year. Well might as well redshirt Larson now too.....we aren't going anywhere and doing anything this year.

Rudy will probably throw on 1st down now......now that we are down 21 and they are expecting it.
