I just got a nice phone call from my email I sent Midco yesterday They said the game friday will be televised - But the Sat game is still being negotiated ? I told them I have been a loyal Midco customer But if any of the dish networks started covering more UND Hockey games - I'd switch & that Hockey up here is 100 times more important than NCAA Basketball or other sports programing I said I'd gladly go pay per view if possible to have away games I asked if the UND Dattaflix complicates others getting to televise the games - she did not know - But I told her it is terrible & I would rather just listen to the radio because of the choppy blurry picture & buffering (it is always behind) I wish they would cover all games come tournment time I really got the impression that they were doing a poll to see what people wanted NCAA Basketball or other sports or Sioux Hockey - Hockey Fans better email them & get heard

WPos you have not been to the Ralph - It is nothing like the xcel was this weekend not even close & our tap Beers are almost twice as Big I give ya the fact that it seems worse because of sheer numbers involved - But it is worse & there is more to it than losing & yeah society has decayed quicker in some places than others - But paying customers that don't like that part of society deserve more protection than they got at the x & if people have to wait for someone to fix your society - then maybe it is time to move the event. My perspective is St Paul will be the real loser if the losers are not made to get lost by those in society that won't tolerate losing

Like I said before - I sat in 4 different areas & 3 of those had TV cameras near them & much better security nearby & people were much better behaved .....Duh !!!

Thats a fair question PCM - I think it could have been worse for anyone who would have stayed for the ? what ever they did after the game ? & for anyone who went out that night Don't get me wrong - The vast majority were great & I love the xcel center & would hate to see it (tourney)moved further away But they have got to provide more / better security in the arena. Even if a Cop or Security Guard would walk up & down a isle once or twice a game - would most likely be enough to slow down the real idiots. I love to give & take as much as anyone & have Fun ! & I'm no prude or scared of people - But what I was feeling was that the Nuts were getting control of the nut house & respect & sportmanship & pride & tolerance are getting to be rare to way too many & when zero tolerance kicks in - it won't be Fun like it was or could be. Seems now days your either brave & crazy or trying to ignore the problems & crazies & is that up to the crowd to control ?

I saw a few fights & lots of potential fights One I heard about was UMD fans & Gopher fans & the Dads were really going at it & the wives were verbally going at it & even the wives were near throwing blows & their kids were crying & the crowd around them had to break it up The place is spacious & there is no problem getting beer - & selling beer up & down the isles was constant. ---I like beer too - but the ushers did not control the people going in & out (during whistle stops) & there was way too much smack & one finger salutes & anger - rude fans & the abundance of beer seemed way in excess - I guess for the amount of people & how they are are all mixed together - overall it was fun - but at the same time the potential for a serious brawl was everywhere. I'm not without sin - After hearing us being called siouxage I came up with "I thought you Rodents liked sewage" Many who wanted to watch good hockey & enjoy the game even seemed to have run ins with idiots. There were enough potential problems around where I was - that if it came to blows I would have really, would of had to of, restrained myself, not to take sides & come to the aid of some, that would have needed help. & when we scored the UM fans were way to mean spirited & bumping & pushing & physically annoying to Sioux fans that were trying to celebrate Security was present in the concourses - but not in the arena seating. Some of the verbal jabs against the Sioux name were classless & I agree the alphabet chants were annoying But at the same time at least they have a chant they all participate in (you can see the influence Sesame Street had on a generation) The xcel sure made a fortune on beer sales - but somehow seemed lacking in drunken crowd control & the potential for brawels & real bad feelings were everywhere. Just makes you wonder if society has decayed or is this just normal fun these days ? & if this keeps going at the pace it is ? is it close to getting out of hand ? As much Fun as it was - I was overall uncomfortable with the potential for real trouble & felt way too many seemed way to serious about the rivalry & that real hate & anger & beer are almost out of control It is always a few bad apples that ruin it for the majority & the majority were great fans having fun & being loyal to their teams. But are we (& places like the xcell center) allowing it to become too wide open & anything goes ? ? ? & then will they go from one extreme to another ? You can see why athletic events spill over into violence these days & that can't be a good thing for the majority of us.

I'll wait to really comment & give details - But was the crowds & their behavior normal for a tourney like that ? I have mixed feelings - while the energy & excitement were Great !!! - the smack & anger & even rage were way above what I expected I'd go again in a heartbeat - But compared to the Ralph this place is NUTZ :O

May the Best teams Win I'll be rooting for the Dogs on Friday Looking forward to lots of Good Hockey Can't wait for tomorrow Praying for a SIOUXPER Weekend !!! Our 4 lines are going to Rock & Roll & I hope - have their best showing yet !!! We have the lines & players that have grown & are playing Great Hockey !!! Our Talent has not even came close to peaking yet. I'll predict - Between our shot blockers & Jake having his Best Weekend so far (a good warm up for the final 4) - the only thing we need is SCORING on the Power Play !!! & stay out of the BOX & this Team is more than Capable of bringing it all together - if they do - this could be one of the all time Best Sioux Teams Ever -It's all there waiting to happen LET GO SIOUX !!!

I enjoyed him - Think he really added alot to what could have been dull moments - & we have to play these guys again I think the announcer (Scott Hennon or some other person thats is miked & has the personality to get folks going) could also help add to the crowd getting more into it all - The wave is OK once - But I like that he got it going I wish there were all kinds of stuff like this to keep the place busy / entertaining - Maybe get sections competeing who can yell the loudest Cheering back & forth etc. Getting the cheerleaders miked would help too Crazy George was worth every penny he made helping get the Metrodome going.

118 aisle seats (close to the Beer) where do people go after the games - last yr we ended up in a very unfriendly bar this was our seats last yr - that is my Daughter from Fargo waving the Flag Hi Ra Ra We wanted to be up higher this yr but in the same corner actually I stood up by the food court area last yr & really had Fun talking to everyone up there I have to go way up top :O in there this yr & see the view - Quite a facility PCM I think took this pic ---Thanks !!!

This is really frustrating that this game is not on TV tonight ? What is the real reason ? Pat Sweeny couldn't make it to Duluth ? Or is it because the Ralph wants to sell that crappy computer connection ? Could Midco put it on 23 if they wanted too (enough demand) ?
