I was critical earlier this year - & They Deserved it But I also was mad - cause I thought this team was so talented & with the returning Folks (Especially Defense) we should have been Good & I was hopeful the new guys would prove their quality also But I'll take a year like this over last Year anytime These guys have played like so many of us knew they could - I'm glad for Hak that they came together & seemed to mature & peak at the right time I like the WCHA being so Strong & many teams having the potential - Made the year more interesting than just walking all over everyone I enjoyed the Heart Mercyherst showed, As well as Bemidji (great to see players want to win that Bad) & see Montoya & Schinder get thumped to show the rest of the Country where the really Good Players are Just Beat the Goophers - stomp em into the ground every time they stick their buck teeth out of their Holes & I really Hope we can break a scoring record against DU or CC - I'm so sick of those 1 goal wins or losses against them. It's Time to make up for all those times we shoulda coulda scored more goals against these guys It's Battle Time !!! were going into this to WIN IT ALL & prove it is NO FLUKE & We plan on being even Better Next Year & for many years to come

I also have to admidt it is a Fun Part of the Game - taking it out on the Refs

Is the Game on Thursday on TV ? (any real TV) How about Friday & Sat. ? Are thre any good deals on flights to the games Friday or just sat. ? - Airlines ? Charter ? - Private ? (Grand Forks or Fargo ?) for 4

I was there & it was the best 1st period of Hockey I have seen in many years - actually the score could have been 6 -0 in the 1st with some of the great shots the sioux had If this is something they can get consistant at--- they are HOT HOT HOT

Don't be so sure & if it doesn't happen - it will be too Bad cause it could have Kessel might be a stretch - But if he wants to play & be able to score ? ? ? &/or be on a winning team / real contender in the future ? ? ? The other 3 ....I will be Mad as heck if they are not here (or should I say if they go to another WCHA school) I've seen Marto play enough now to say he is a all around Great Athlete who is finally getting the Serious Looks he deserves & what a shame if he goes to another school

I can see a Kessel - Moreland - Marto Line in the Future & it will be the Highest scoring line in College Hockey ...Ever (I know Marto is a Defenseman ) but he could play any position - I wouldn't doubt even Goalie Or maybe even a Marto - Moreland - MacIntyre a all ND line is going to fill the Ralph to standing room only To me the Future Looks Bright

Why only 18 ? (I get the equality thing ) & I guess it should be equal #'s per school So no one has played Football & Hockey ? Baseball & Hockey ? Is this the same at most WCHA schools ?

I thought so - But how many are there ? & who ? This is not Public Info ?

So we have the best Facility in Hockey ...But can't afford to fix the Ice ? ? ? ...and we don't have the funds to provide Full Scholorships for players ? ? ? Do players ever lose their Scholarships if they are not producing (playing like the coaches thought they would) in their 2nd 3rd or 4th years ?

I doubt many ND Players have had the "Stats" that some have? But we have had some Great College players. (many that were missed) Football & Baseball don't over lap that much, that it could'nt be worked out ...does it ? Do most (All ?) Hockey Players get full Rides ?

No one knows anything about these things ? ....I'm disappointed

Who are some good players that developed after HS that did not have all the Stats ? There sure must be things Coaches look for other than Stats ? How important is playing Juniors ? Are scholarships usually Full or Partial (anyone know what all they get ?) Have any Hockey Players ever played other College sports, like Football or Baseball, at the same time ? (Got Multiple Scholarships ?) because they are such well rounded Athletes ?

I'm glad to see Spirko becoming a heads up guy - his passing & touch with the puck are really something to watch. As well as his nose for goals lately If this team would have progressed like he has this year - they would be awesome right now Confidence has to be shaken at this point - I know mine is

I kept saying Look How Big that guy is How big is he ?

I watched all those guys & yes it was magical at times But that is what bothers me - the Talent is here - Maybe like never before They need to get the confidence & attitude that they are good & that many can score (& I want some) Too many trying to pass or set up others who are doing the same thing This & the fact that every team that comes in our place, the dang goalies think they are the ghost of some NHL prodigy Goaltender

I watch Spirko alot - He is Good... But needs to start shooting the puck more & not just to get shots... BUT be determined to score ...He is always working, chasing the puck into the corners & behind the net (others too)... BUT he & others need to be thinking about positioning themselves to score ---How many times this year is there 3 Sioux after the puck & no one in front of the net ? ? ? ...Either that or the defensemen have to step up & do the scoring ...otherwise it is a waste to have guys fighting for the puck & no one there to shoot the puck ? ...Right ? ? ? 1 to 0 with stupid & unavoidable penalties is very possible the way things are going
