  1. F - Ovechkin F - Kane F - Stamkos F - Kuznetsov F - Kopitar F - Toews D - Doughty D - Keith D - Letang D - Burns G - Holtby
  2. If Zane stayed, we would have gone undefeated and given up exactly 1 goal in every single game
  3. I really have no reason for not including Lowell but at the same time I felt like they weren't on the same level as BC and Providence. Maybe it's just a got feeling thing but I would have included them in a second tier with UMD, BU, Notre Dame, Harvard, and Yale. I felt like Michigan, Northeastern, RIT, and Ferris were on a 3rd level and had no hope at winning it all.
  4. Going into the tournament I thought there were 6 teams (UND, QU, SCSU, BC, Denver, and Providence) that had legitimate shots at winning it all and any other team would have been a little flukey, like Providence last year or Yale 3 years ago. SCSU was the team I was most worried about coming in and I was ecstatic when they choked against Ferris.
  5. I will never do the bolded part. How some fans can possibly think they care more than the guys playing the game is truly beyond me. They put more work into hockey than many people put into their jobs and they do this on top of school work while still being only 20 years old. They work their asses off to entertain us and people have the audacity to think that they don't care about winning or they only care about making it to the next level or that they owe us something. How many ex-Sioux have you heard describing playing at UND as the best time of their lives? Or how many say they wish they could come back or that they had 5 years to play at UND? I may be critical on the internet about how well or poorly I think they played. I will comment on player X struggling or player Y playing terribly, but I will never attribute that to how much they care. I love Sioux hockey and it is a big part of my life, but for the players, Sioux hockey is their life.
  6. I probably would have been a person writing negative posts late in that third period if I was online. I sure was muttering some obscenities throughout the 3rd period. I'm usually pretty even keeled throughout the week but during the games, and especially this game, the emotions can get the best of you. I thought I was in a nightmare when they were reviewing the Olson hit because that probably could have been a major. It felt like I hadn't taken a breath in ages and then when Nick scored I just exploded. Pure elation. I'm pretty sure I hurt my buddy celebrating the goal. And I am excited and terrified to go through it all again in 16 hours.
  7. A lot of them might have been 5 years old or younger. This is a college hockey team with college fans. 1999 is 17 years ago.
  8. First period both teams look pretty rough. First 7 minutes of the second we came out on fire. Then I felt like we were a completely different team from the time we went up 2-0 to a little bit after Denver tied it up. That was the most I had seen our guys chip the puck off the glass and ice the puck all season.
  9. Those back to back blocks were freaking amazing. Blocks a shot gets up and takes ripper right to the chest and still keeps going. Just beastly
  10. Play the entire game like it is tied and we will be fine.
  11. My brain is broken right now. The only thought that is coming to it is pure happiness!!!
  12. Conner scored 43 of his 62 points in 20 B10 games. 19 in his remaining 14 games. He's deserving in my opinion. Motte scored 38 of his 50 points in conference. 12 in his remaining 14 games. Compher scored 37 of his 52 in conference. 15 in his remaining 14 games. Minnesota was the best defensive team in that crap conference and they were 33rd in the nation. People could accuse me of having green tinted glasses but it isn't only the 3 players on our top line that were more deserving. Everyone on Denver's top line, Kossila, and Guentzel were all more deserving forwards from the NCHC. Anas for Quinnipiac is more deserving. He was tied for 10th in points for a team that lost 2 games. O'Regan for BU or Fitzgerald for BC could be considered more deserving. The fact that Motte and Compher made it is a joke. Michigan had as many finalists as the NCHC and Hockey East combined and they weren't even a good enough team to win the 2nd worst conference in hockey. It's a joke.
  13. If Boeser and Schmaltz wouldn't have been so good they made the world junior (cough Kyle cough) and Caggiula and Schmaltz had been healthy the entire season, they would be right up there with that Michigan top line in scoring. Cags lost 4 games against WMU and CC, Boeser lost 2 against UAH, and Nick lost 6 against WMU, CC, and UAH. They would all be over 50 points playing in what is at worst the 2nd best conference in hockey. If they were in the B10 then they probably would have been putting Johnny Gaudreau numbers or maybe Paul Kariya
  14. 10 finalists for the Hobey was announced. The Michigan top line, Thatcher Demko (BC G), Alex Lyon (Yale G), a Robert Morris forward, Prow from SCSU, Petan for Michigan Tech, Vesey from Harvard, and Poturalski for New Hampshire. I think it is a little insane that every guy on that Michigan top line made it. They put up huge point totals but they also played most of their games absolutely pathetic defenses. Compher and Motte from Michigan were barely point per game guys in out of conference play. Their stats are inflated from getting to play in the second worst conference in college hockey. I thought a guy from our top line or Anas or Kossila or Heinen should have made it over at least one of them.
  15. The Brett Favre season they should have won the Super Bowl. They could have called about 10 roughing the passer penalties. If Favre was Manning or Brady, there is no way the refs would have let him take the abuse he got in that game. Game still makes me mad and I don't like the Vikings.
  16. http://pairwise.techhockeyguide.com/ Some Michigan Tech fans made a pretty good Pairwise predictor too.
  17. Fewer wins during the entire season than we had in the conference. Something tells me that's not very good...
  18. What he should have said is the team that has gone 4-0 against Duluth is pretty scary
  19. I would go with Vesey from Harvard this year. He's had a great career and a really good season. Tied for 6th in points per game while playing in a conference that has teams that know how to play defense (top are all Robert Morris and Michigan players). They say they consider academics and character. Well if you've read that article he wrote for the Player's Tribune and he goes to Harvard so he has those both checked off. Plus they gave it to a freshman last year and I don't think they will do that two years in a row.
  20. I do have to say that goal by Louis for Miami was a beaut. It could and should give Drake a run for his money in the second round.
  21. 7 goals tonight and I still can't get past the first round
  22. The play that Drake is up against really wasn't that nice of a play. Screwed up the original save and then dove at a puck that may have not gone in anyways.
  23. Michael Parks is beaming somewhere thinking I taught him that in reference to Sanderson's goal.
