Does anyone else share my opinion that college teams should be required to skate on NHL sheets?

Just confirming what the rumor was with someone inside the athletic department in Minot is all.

Hearing from people inside Minot State that Rudolph has been offered the job and is expected to take the position. He will review the situation with his family and a decision is expected within the next day or two.

Born and raised in Minot. I am personal friends with probably 15 or so players that play at Minot State. Now I have no idea if these Rudolph rumors are true or not but what I can tell you is that Rudolph is extremely well regarded in the area by both fans and players. From talking with some of his current and former players, they tell me that Rudolph is an extremely good coach but uses a system them is highly complex for his current level of players. The biggest problem that they have had is finding a quarterback that can effectively execute his system. I don't know if he would be the best fit for us but like I said he is highly regarded as both a coach and a man. I can honestly say that I have never had a single player, parent or school official say a negative word about the guy. Take that for what it is.

As a member of the younger generation I can tell you with 100% confidence that people of my generation absolutely care about the UND-NDSU rivalry. If you truly believe that we don't you are at best mislead and at worst an idiot. I have tons of friends that attend both schools. Most are friends but when it comes to supporting their school there is still a take no prisoners attitude. I currently live in Minot and you can go to the grocery store and watch people argue about the two schools (generally friendly banter). Kids have been raised by parents that have attended each respective school and have passed that tradition on. It has not and will not ever stop and I would venture to say that we're closer to the state government requiring them to play yearly than them never playing again. If they played next year the game would sell out in about 2 minutes and it would be the most watched event on TV in North Dakota. If they don't play for another 15 years, it will still sell out in 2 minutes and be the most watched event on TV in North Dakota.

Anyone know what kind of offense Hoffner ran at Mankato? ie. power i, one back,spread, option

I think the MV is better at the top whereas the the Big Sky isn't as good at the top but has more quality throughout. I guess its kinda pick your poison right now.

Well, whoever is our coach is gonna be in for a rough first season. We lacked talent before and now with Galloday and Jackson transferring we will officially suck even more.

Haven't seen the whole game but from what I've seen of this and the Oregon game we need 2 changes. On offense, our guards try to set up the offense way to far out. Having 2 guards both 5-10 feet behind the three point line is useless and allows the defense to sag down even more. We have got to step up and be a threat to score from the outside. On defense, our rotation is horrid. Way to many free runners when we double and it allows for easy baskets.

I know its been said by many but we found ourselves a good one in Stecher.

Accountability. Our hockey players throw a party and not only the players responsible get suspended but so do the captains. You have a few players that defraud an election, take no action, wait for them to get community service, then watch them not complete said community service.

Good effort. We picked the wrong tournament to go cold against. Gotta shoot better to have a chance against teams like Oregon.

Is this game on Directv or is the webcast available again?

Ya I just mean the video quality itself. When I watched the UND vs NDSU game I had a grainy picture at best.

The fact that Oregon's video quality on their webcast is so much better than Midco's cable broadcast quality is puzzling.

I know its way too early to be talking about next years team but I know we have some guys that are considered to be "highly skilled" but do we have anyone coming in that plays an old school Sioux style of play? Big, physical, not afraid to get in your face and knock you on your ass kinda guys?

I'm just not impressed with this years squad. I know we generally play better in the second half but I just don't see it with this team. This isn't our typical Sioux team. We are small and with the lack of size comes a tremendous lack of physicality. This is by far the least physical team I have seen us throw out there in a long time. To make things worse, we lack the skill and speed that usually comes with smaller players. I'll still be cheering my lungs out but I just don't see it this year.

Honestly, Brooks does intrigue me and I wouldn't be upset under one condition. I would want him to bring in a d coordinator that plays a physical, aggressive style of defense. I would also prefer that said coach would have previous head coaching experience to help with the inevitable bumps in the road that Brooks would face as a first time head coach.

Good effort by UND tonight. Honestly, it could have been a lot worse. I know 18 is a pretty hefty beat down, but on the flip side Wisco will be doing that to a lot of teams this year. If you would have told me before the game that one of their guys would go off for 41 I would have said that we lose by 30. All in all, its somethings to build on as we showed some talent. My views on the whole Faison should fire Muss thing are pretty simple. Muss needs to go. There is no plausible explanation to the contrary. I have met Faison and actually think he is smart enough and passionate enough to realize this. If he doesn't, then in my view, he himself might not be the right guy for the job in this post transition era.

Percentage chances that that Faison pulls a Kiffen and fires Muss on the bus on the way back from the airport?
