Denver is 4 games below .500 why are they even being considered for the tourney. Their body of work cannot only consist of their last few games. If I'm on committee Denver stays home.

I'm not any of the above but it was pretty clear that JBD was very possibly seriously hurt when he physically couldn't get up right away. The refs also saw he blew a tire and went head first into boards. Scary moment and I hope JBD is ok.

We will have to match Denver's desperation. We are really going to have to play our A game because it is tough to finish a team's season. It would be sweet to end Denver's season.

Western was really dominating going into overtime.

Omaha is the Jan Brady of the NCHC. They will never be a top tier team because they have a coach who has a really crappy disposition.

I thought the league was putting the onus on protecting the players be it a hit from behind or I would assume crashing into the boards head first and laying on the ice hurt. I really think the refs should have blown the play dead when JBD didn't get up immediately.

But to throw some of their players under the bus publicly? Berry might say there were too many passengers on the bus tonight or something similar but he doesn't drive the bus over the players put it in reverse and then back over them.

Polls really only matter as far as the final poll. It would be fun to have a weekly poll that would rank the 20 worst college hockey teams each week. You would see some of the lower echelon teams play their butts off to get off that list.

I hope the Beavers get in. They are my second favorite college hockey team after the Sioux. They really play an honest brand of hockey under Tom Serratore.

Sorry but Lance is a heck of a QB and Ex-Bison or not he gives the Vikings the best shot to win. Chances are anyway that he'll be gone before the Vikings would have a shot at drafting him. That's the last I'll say about this.

Losing Trey Lance was a big blow. Just hope the Vikings are smart enough to trade up and get him in the draft.

Listening to the USCHO podcast they are saying a strong case can be made for Bemidji State being an at large team. 5 of their 11 wins have been against Mankato and Bowling Green who will be locks to make the national tourney. With the ECAC most likely only putting Quinnipiac in the tourney it will leave room for a team like Bemidji State. I think if Bemidji can win two games in the WCHA tourney they will be in as an at-large. They could also have a really strong case with only one win in WCHA tourney. Although the math gets fuzzy for the Beavers if Quinnipiac does not win ECA tourney.

Missouri Valley is a league where running the ball and keeping the other teams D on the field for extended drives pays huge dividends in the 2nd half. A team just down the road has proven this is a formula for success in this league.

As per the GF Herald article regarding the cancellation of our series with Omaha earlier in season: NCHC protocol requires teams to have 15 skaters, two goaltenders, two staff members and one medical professional available to play games.

Looks like in the POD covid protocol that close contacts must quarantine for 14 days so depending on the date of the positive test CC would be iffy at best as far as competing in the quarters.

Would it not be more than enough time between as long as CC tests negative before the 12th.

Would a first round bye for UND be good? That would be a long layoff.

This may have already been asked but will the quarter finals also be on NCHC TV?

The only bias I might worry about for us would be the number 1 overall seed. I agree our resume should speak for itself.
