CC raised $4 million in 2024. I can't find 2025 numbers. The Champions Ball alone raised $450K in 2024 and is held every other year. The 2026 Champions Ball is coming up. Hopefully everything going on will motivate UND CC members to give more and non-members to join. For comparison, SDSU's Jackrabbit Club raised $2.7 million in 2025.

Short or Tall is brand new which is why it could work for UND. I brought up the Spud Jr because theirs being for the Children’s Museum seems like a new non profit that the gaming is supporting in town. So, it’s possible to have different non profits supported outside of the current ones. Im not an expert though so maybe someone else can correct me if wrong.

UND should definitely explore charitable gaming at Short or Tall. I see the Spud Jr's new gaming now goes to the Grand Forks Children's Museum that is still in fundraising stage.

Fundraising momentum is very strong right now and I’d expect the endowment to balloon over the next couple years.

On top of tripling their football budget annually to be at MWC average and adding a women’s sport?

FBS is at 105 scholarships. Will NDSU have to add multiple women’s sports?

He has zero ties to the area and is nearing retirement. Not sure what motivation he could have to do anything other than analyze the landscape

Not sure, but St Cloud state’s coach is in his 4th season and has his team 18-5 after going 20-12 last season. If you can win in men’s basketball at that school, you can probably win anywhere. He was a 2 time national champ at Winona State as a player after playing 3 years at Creighton. Im not a huge fan of NSIC hires… but this guy screams up and comer
