Game day! Let’s go!!
-
Big game tomorrow. Find a way to get it done! I still think Rucker is due for a major breakout game. Offensively, Dennis and Quincy need to be involved. Crowd needs to do its part. Get to the Alerus and be loud on every down!
-
Per Tom Miller the ISU center is out. Hopefully Orlando and company + the crowd can make it a nightmare for the backup.

Hope UND is not underestimating the Bengals like some on this board are. They are in the second year under a new coach from UC Davis and return a ton of guys (17 starters) from last year. It's very likely they'll be way better than they were last year, and it's not like UND has been lights out so far. If the defense starts like it did the first two games, the Bengals will certainly put up a bunch of points. You can not come out flat on Saturday and if you get a lead you can not take plays off because they'll score in a hurry.
-
Hopefully the athletic department does some sort of Potato Bowl ticket promotion or something at the french fry feed & parade to fill the Alerus up on Saturday. The crowd brought the noise last Saturday during the second half and needs to early and often this weekend!
-
Hopefully the win over WVU will breathe some life back into this program that used to be one of the best on campus. Keep it up!
-
The defense will need to be ready to go from the get go. Idaho State can score quickly and you can't have breakdowns like the first half of Montana. Defensive line needs to help the secondary out and get after the QB.
-
Hey Dom at least tweeted that the player who shot at someone was dismissed so now they can move on…. to more tweets about Deion and Colorado!
-
The bengals return 8 starters on offense and 9 on defense from last season, so they’ll likely be much improved this year. Looks like they brought in some transfers that are already making an impact. Their QB is a senior transfer from Utah Tech and safety from CMU who started there quite a bit in 2022.

Going to be another great day in Forks for a tailgate on Saturday! Any time you have Idaho State in town, crazy things can happen. I’m guessing they’re going to have some pretty good wide receivers. Need to move the chains early and often to keep their offense off the field. Get after their QB. Beat the Bengals!

Game day!! Let’s go Hawks! Get to the Alerus and be loud.

Griz have a QB battle still. Each played half against Missouri St. Fife, who played the second half, looked better than the first guy, but the first guy was very fast. The crowd will need to play a factor and help rattle whoever their QB is. Montana's weapons are just as dangerous as Iowa State's IMO, so the safeties will really have to communicate. While the Griz did well against the Missouri State run game, they did lose a lot of defensive leaders from last season and were at home vs Missouri State. I think UND proved it can run the ball with this new offensive line against a really good Iowa State team. Wear the Griz down with the ground game and connect on a couple of 15-25 yard passes and the offense will be in good shape.

I think we get a sack and a couple QB hurries out of Rucker this weekend. He was noticeable last weekend. Crowd will be loud - pack the Alerus!
-
a lot less than there typically are left. season ticket holders are more likely to attend a the first home game of the year and more likely to attend a game vs Montana instead of someone like Drake...
-
Not a crazy amount of tickets left on Ticketmaster. With a decent walk-up crowd, it could sell out.

My biggest issues with yesterday: Why run the ball on 3rd and 9 in four down territory only to punt for a touchback? Why not throw a Hail Mary at the half? just sends a horrible message to the players from the HC.. IMO Romfo played about the same as Tommy did against FBS opponents despite it being his first game and this year’s Iowa State probably being the best FBS opponent UND has faced. I think the deep balls will come, just seemed like the few times they did try them, the DL had pressure or the coverage was good. defense played much better than I thought, but will have a very tough challenge this Saturday and will need to clean up some things at in the secondary and get any sort of pressure on the QB. The Griz have a ton of weapons, not just Bergen. Their defense plays fast, but UNDs running back room should be able to run on them. Beat the Griz!

That’s some bad defense

Let’s go!!

Not only for tomorrow but the entire season, I hope fruechte doesn’t overthink the play calling. Find a few things that are working and stick to them or some variation of them until they show they can stop you. Seemed like Danny would overthink things from time to time.
