Bama has 10 guys in the portal already. Would think between Washington, San Diego State, or even Bama, there’d be a couple of guys that are looking for playing time. Schmidt would be a home run hire IMO. Winner as a player, has worked his way up consistently in coaching, almost winning a natty last year, and has coached under some really great coaches. Hopefully he can bring some coaches or players from the past few years in!

Freuchte seems like a great leader and coach. I liked his play calling this season, but it would be a little odd to hire the second choice at OC after Danny left… and following a losing season.

Anyone have any idea what $ Caruso currently makes? St Thomas may have deeper pockets for their coaching staff than some people think.

No doubt Bolte is a great coach, and I agree that winning at Bemidji is probably very hard, but his experience out of the NSIC is next to none. That's my gripe. We've had quite a few NSIC coaches come through UND... and I'd prefer someone with at least some D1 experience.

Maybe we could poach an Idaho State WR??
