  1. I think it was Anderson, Stockwell was the player last week.
  2. Is this the first time all year we have had more passing yards than rushing yards? Last I looked it was about 126-90. (Pass-Run)
  3. Norberg is much more of a Oliviera type than Smith, not sure why he doesn't get many more carries.
  4. Coughlin Alumni stadium is already taken apart. They announced any home games would be in Sioux Falls at Howard Wood Field.
  5. I heard UND put in a nice bid. Also heard from some people from South Dakota that doesn't believe SDSU put a bid in. I assume it's due to Howard Wood being smaller, really not great seating, and even locker rooms are pretty bad unless those have been renovated in last few years.
  6. If they are going to go generic if they go the bird route I rather they go the plane route. The navy used to use a Douglas A-4 Skyhawk: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Douglas_A-4_Skyhawk#United_States The Argentine variant was the Fighting Hawk: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockheed_Martin_A-4AR_Fightinghawk The US Lockheeed F-117 Nighthawk: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockheed_F-117_Nighthawk Curtiss P-40 Warhawk: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curtiss_P-40_Warhawk Then there is also the Desert Hawk which is a Drone (which doesn't look as cool, but does match our UAS program) Or Blackhawk which is a military helicopter.
  7. The players I think that students seem to have a problem with are the Freshman. I don't have a problem with any players and they are typically pretty nice to me, yet I don't live in the dorms or eat at dining centers. Some social media (YikYak) consistently have people complaining about football players and I'm not sure if its all truthful or just someone easy to blame stuff on so they do it. There is typically pictures of dishes left on tables, and even under tables. They said at beginning of semester that the a few players broke a window or put a hole in the wall can't remember which, but no one stepped up to claim it so the whole dorm had to pay for it. Some of the football players tend to get into groups and can get a little loud and roudy, but nothing I noticed too bad; but if you are loud and making a semi-scene in the dining center while wearing your football apparel than you will get noticed. I don't know if that is why people don't come to games, I assume there are some that come and sit in non-student section areas to be able to drink, some are still asleep and hungover, or they don't want to be caught for drinking so they don't get on the shuttle that I have never seen a schedule for to be able to get to the game. I would say that is a biggie, no one really knows when the shuttle to the Alerus shows up. The whole visitor sidelines stands are pretty bare, even non-student section over there are not full, I took a look at both sides from a end on saturday and it was quite astonishing section for section where most go. I did notice that in the 4th quarter not even halfway through it that the section above the 50yd line on the home side was thining quite a bit. Not sure what happened there.
  8. the policy stated that priority tickets are not valid unless punched at end of the game. I assume most just bypassed priority and stood in line at the Ralph.

was this on eversport? Do they normally cut away correctly? I remember on years prior where the Web cast never cut away and you could hear everything they said even tho TV watchers/radio listeners couldn't as they had ads

How is their passing game looking?
  13. Watching the NDSU pregame (stuck in fargo with OTA) I noticed a few things. Midco coverage is so much better. Watching VNL I felt like I was watching the 10 o'clock news. Didn't seem like a game pregame show to get you excited. Also who used the stampeding buffalo, with thunderstruck playing on intro video first, Sioux Falls Stampede, or NDSU? I prefer the Stampede. I wish we did what they, and every big program (no matter sport such as the Wild) do where once intro is done show a closed door with the logo with the team than coming out and proceeding to the field. It allows the crowd to transition from watching the video to prepare for the team to charge the field.
  14. I could see art museum because the Art commission(whatever they are called) says they want 42nd to be their art district. Anything Library I hear is about in front of Kmart.
  15. I thought I read somewhere that the Alerus and surrounding area(parking lot) is designed to allow expansion atleast to the south? Could this possibly ever lead to seating? Edit: here is a article that talks about buying land to the south for expansion although it doesn't say it would be to expand the arena specifically: http://www.grandforksherald.com/content/alerus-center-revenue-growth-prompts-upgrades-possible-expansion
  16. I always wondered how if the Alerus Center was built on or right near the East side of campus how it would be percieved even if it is the exact same building it is right now.
  17. Is there no UND branding on the main concourses? I know there is some UND pictures and green lighting near the UND locker room that I saw last year when I got a chance to go back in the hallway. Also had Big Sky team logos. Best way is to specify that is where you want the funds to go to. I have talked to some players who said it'd be nice to have the locker rooms over there instead of having to walk across memorial to get to the HPC and tracking mud in (due to excess dirt from construction). Is the locker rooms only going to be for Football when the new phase is built or for all the sports that use the Hyslop now?

If it came down to Howard Wood vs Alerus; Alerus would win in quality of facility.

Howard Wood Field has been updated in recent years, but typically only host high school games and Track & Field. I know USF plays on campus, and I believe Augustana has a on campus field or shares USF's so I don't think any college teams play here consistently. I do know NDSU played USD or SDSU here a few years ago and it was sold out weeks in advance.
  20. I can't personally confirm, but I heard, Green pants, white socks for lower. I'd assume green jersey for a greenout.
  21. I'm interested to see the green pants that are being worn tomorrow.
  22. When I did student work in Twamley I was told absolutely no Sioux apparel.
  23. The TD passes were some pretty good throws. His drop back and hurry made it seem like it should've been a slant route. Even a couple of extra steps,, a 5 step instead of 2/3 could allow you to see over the line a little btter and see the routes opening.

I felt good about the defense with turnovers coming into the year. Didn't happen. Last year we seemed to get plenty of interceptions, but we did have better secondary. But it seems to show that it was more the athlete than good coverage plays.
  25. Seibel the WR that is sitting out in the flats wide open? With a DB about 5 yards off? I noticed someone open that sat a few yards from the line of scrimmage, it actually took a few takes to figure out who the pass was trying to hit.
