  1. All Sharpton has Baltimore under control. Black lives only matter if their killed by white cops, but not other blacks. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cIxDuRMxBSU
  2. http://brook.land/2015/05/athletics-unveils-new-100-million-five-year-plan/ It sure looks like Stony Brook is planning FBS facilities soon, expanding to 20k and building an IPF, but the MAC won't take them. So what's the rush? JMU, Delaware, Towson, Liberty, maybe Villanova, Stony Brook, Albany, UMass, UNH, and maybe Maine would make a nice east coast FBS conference. Nearly all are capable. JMU has resisted the Belt but still has FBS intentions.
  3. Frame it. But try another broker first. If you know the state of incorporation, try that states Attorney General or Commerce Dept.
  4. Unless Mankato or St Cloud or Duluth move to the Slummit. They could likely afford it if they dropped football or at least went nonscholly. Augustana felt left out the last shift and they could even have DI fantasies, which would allow the Sioux Falls Slummit tournament to stay. Dickinson St would be a good partner for Jamestown to move up to DII, as both towns will be booming. The North Star conference is adding teams in Iowa and Wisconsin, so the travel with the NSIC would actually be less. If there a massive NAIA to DII to FCS to FBS shift, the Slummit and NSIC and NorthStar conferences have to be prepared.
  5. Jamestown would have to be DII for a number of years before they could start hockey in the WCHA. Would they start NAIA hockey or club? There's not many NAIA teams. When first heard of Sean Johnson leaving his AD spot, thought Minot State was going to get him and start DI hockey with the WCHA.
  6. Take it to a broker and have them do a search on it. In 1953 there was a uranium stock boom, as wild ideas like nuclear powered airplanes were in fashion. The uranium industry has gone through many cycles since then, but went downhill again after Fukushima. You never know though, as it might be part of the Kazahkstan uranium buyout that Hilary and Bill profited from.
  7. So you happen to know what Deanna Zink has up her sleave?
  8. The NCAA doesn't like antitrust or restraint of trade lawsuits against them. And the P5 now has a moat so they don't care. The NCAA backs down leaving the G5 even more weakened by watering it down with FCS schools.
  9. Hammersmith is a two-faced poster. If you saw some of his posts on other Slummit boards denigrating UND with glee, that should be enough evidence.
  10. At least there's intelligent apes there, unlike the lower form lemur primates of bisonville, who get into tantrums about anything and everything. BTW, I pm'ed the poster you referenced. He said its from among Jacksonville St, Liberty, and Youngstown St sources. He an Idaho grad who has said even Idaho's AD Spear mentioned it. Jim Tressel and Bo Pelini are going to pull out all stops to get Youngstown St FBS.
  11. A number of rumors from that board have become true. Some media and high level contacts post there anonymously. Ask yourself if the P5 would support this? The G5 wouldn't obviously. The P5 runs DI now, not DI institutions generally.
  12. You must know a lot about dark corners.
  13. CSNBBS realignment board. G5 posters refuse to believe it or even talk about it as their only true power is by being a cartel and gatekeeper to FBS. Obviously it hasn't been introduced yet for voting.
  14. There are more than a few bison fans that have said the Big Sky could never ever go FBS. Where are they now, if this rumor is true? Going spastic? Bozoville has already had a meltdown when they heard Coastal and Eastern Ky had FBS interests from the Sun Belt. Having an existing FBS conference making an invite is far cleaner and less expensive. At least the Big Sky has at least one Bowl: the Famous Idaho Potato.
  15. As a kid, used to hear his voice many evenings. Still remember the playoff games vs Old Dominion, Tn-Chattanooga and Puget Sound. May his family have peace and joy with Jim's passing.
  16. If the change is true, the NCAA would probably avoid antitrust lawsuits by Liberty and maybe even the Big Sky and CAA. If there was only a couple of G5 slots left, why wouldn't JMU and Mo St have jumped on them? They had to have known something was up, because the FBS train was leaving and they knew something else would happen.
  17. UAB, Kennesaw St, and Tenn-Chattanooga would jump at a shot of an FBS MVC (assuming UABs pres is fired). The MVC doesn't necessarily want the extraneous MVFC affiliate teams, but places where skilled FB and BasketB players can be recruits. Youngstown St would probably move to the CAA. The Dakota teams might have the Big Sky as their only suitor.
  18. There's now a rumor going around that the NCAA soon won't require a conference invite for FBS. Instead, a team wanting to go FBS from FCS pays a fee similar to a new DI team ($1.2 mill) to begin an FBS transition. If that's the case, almost all the upper level FCS teams will leave en masse. The CAA could take JMU, Liberty, Delaware, Towson, maybe Villanova as an affiliate, Stony Brook, Albany, UNH, and Maine and become an FBS conference after a few years. UMass could be an affiliate. But Liberty, Stony Brook, Albany, Maine, and UNH would have to be invited as full members for the CAA to eventually get a share of the CFP pie. Going Indy doesn't buy much. The MVC would even be stickier, as the basketball schools don't want more stinking football schools entering their club.
  19. Did your vaunted NDSU degree help find you a job, or do you have to put up with you posting from your parents basement?
  20. Idaho is likely without a football conference after the 2017 season, but their AD insists they are still in the Sun Belt come 2018. NMSU doesn't sound like it has the votes of eastern teams to stay in either, but if Ark St or LA-La get invited to CUSA to replace UAB, NMSU could get a full invite.
  21. Any video screens would have to be paid be the REA trust, or donated to it. UND athletics having more money doesn't enter into the equation.
  22. JMU or Mo St would take the MAC in a flash if it was offered. Same with Delaware, Stony Brook, and Albany. All those are much more desirable for the MAC than the bizons. Fargo is just too small. The only way the MWC would look at the bison was if the American took six or so of its teams to get better CFP position.. Then the MWC would be down to Wyoming, Nevada, UNLV, San Jose St, Utah St, and maybe Hawaii. The MWC would add Montana, Montana St, NMSU, Idaho and maybe UCDavis and call it a day.
  23. The Sun Belt board is abuzz with talk that Eastern Kentucky, Coastal Carolina, and NMSU will be added. Idaho wouldn't get renewed, according to the Ark St coach. May not happen til after the FCS playoffs this year. E. Kentucky and Coastal going FBS before NDSU and Montana?
  24. UND released its 2015 schedule and it looks pretty good. They play at Ames vs Marquette, Dayton, and Iowa St, play at Omaha vs Omaha, Drake, and UCF, and they play in St Louis vs St Louis, Tenn- Martin, Ark-Pine Bluff, SC-Upstate, and they play at Austin Peay. Home sees a tournament vs USD, UWGB, Drake, and Jacksonville St, and singles against NDSU and SDSU. The opening tournament in Ames should be by far the toughest test. Next year, it looks like UND will have a home tournament vs Iowa St, St Louis, and Omaha.
  25. The SEC and Longhorn Networks are half owned by ESPN / Disney, while the Big 10 Network is half owned by Fox. ESPN and Fox have vested interests in getting those networks on as many cable and satellite systems as possible. The PAC12 Network is 100% owned by the PAC12. There is talk the PAC12 might sell half of it to gain a windfall of profit and to increase its distribution, as both Fox and ESPN will force cable systems to carry it. The PAC12 doesn't have the leverage outside the west coast to force the cable companies to carry it, while Fox and ESPN do.
