  1. Anything WWII he collected, including Stalins and Churchill's stuff. In PC circles, collecting Stalin stuff is ok, but Churchill is verboten, at least in the Oval Office now. He would have been called a communist if he had money in the 1950s, at least by the bizons.
  2. Shloss might be parroting Berry, but Miller absolutely parrots Faison in his opinions. Miller takes the offical Faisonesque and Kelleyesque line in things that they could actually do the writing for him and no one would know and save everybody time. Miller can't conceive of having different thoughts.
  3. Siouxpreme, in honor of the foremost nickname in American sports, now deceased, as is grandpa Newman.
  4. So you believe NDSU's documentation of Dacotah field attendance too, then? There's a history of fabrication at that school, and nobody there has the balls to call them on it.
  5. Having to spend a couple million more on women's athletics wouldn't help NDSU at all. You didn't mention our softball and soccer programs, which also suck. Women's hockey should be nationally competitive.
  6. And Teammakers vowed that they'd make NDSU actually competitive by pumping money into scholarships and even exceeding NCAA limits. When DII came out with new rules that made it harder, Team makers couldn't suck up twice the talent that they needn't anymore and belleyached for years about DII'S rules. Same playbook by Alabama in the 50s: give 120 or more scholarships so they could have depth and keep players from other teams in the SEC. Bear BryanT collected talent like cattle so Auburn, LSU, Miss St etc couldn't get much.
  7. It would be fair if the same rules applied to NDSU as every one else. That hasn't happened since 1960. There a reason NDSU only started winning that year.
  8. What's to stop some artist from merging a new Roughrider logo with a Sioux logo and selling it, if both logos are slightly altered so neither trademarks are not valid. That should be the plan, something positive, that the PC forces can't stop.
  9. Kelley purposefully never showed any public leadership on this because he didn't want to show that he was staunchly against the name with the SBoHE's blessing. It was all planned out with his former Illini buds like Portland States and SDSU's President to threaten the nickname in their respective leagues, and make it appear Kelley didn't have a choice. Kelley has hid behind committees by design. He's not changing his modus operandi now, which was to portray himself a poor innocent victim.
  10. National media has an agenda to show ND oil in the worst possible light because they hate a hydrocarbon economy: http://www.forbes.com/sites/jamestaylor/2015/07/20/north-dakotas-oil-economy-remains-strong-despite-media-myths/
  11. A Sundog rally would be PC types and NDSU fans who just want to destroy UND athletics. Natural allies.
  12. So wanting NDSU to apply the same Title IX standards as 99% of DI is somehow pathetic? You obviously haven't been exposed to much other than Gene Taylor's behind. Just saying.
  13. Or if the Dept of Education sees it as a violation of federal law. U of Minn just got called on the carpet by the Civil Rights Div of that same Education department for a lot less discrepancy. Btw, the NCAA does not have any enforcement of Title IX, only requires a certain number of women's sports for DI. But to Bison fans, NCAA compliance is critical so no probation happens. Federal compliance is a waste of money and not a big deal.
  14. Funny how that poo becomes THE topic of concern at your main abode/commode: bisonvile, which is non stop bickering, bravado, and poo throwing which never sticks but smears everyone and everything.
  15. No, but you're probably the champion poster for pedantics.
  16. Half the names are Bulldogs or Tigers. In this part of the country, state nicknames are popular, like Sioux, Gophers, Badgers, Wolverines, Illini, Hoosiers, Buckeyes, Cornhuskers. But I guess Northerners are just all screwed up then.
  17. So if we don't choose Fighting Hawks there will rioting in the streets of GF? Is that your point?
  18. It's not mandatory, but logical and reinforce each other. Otherwise everybody would be Bulldogs (Ga), Tigers (Mo, LSU), and Hawks/Eagles or one of their variances, which are very lame.
  19. And Red River stole it from North Dakota, who stole it from Teddy, who gained his heart here. A flagship is supposed to steal from their state's nickname, otherwise it's not a flagship. Maybe you want to rename North Dakota as the Fighting Hawk state. At least you'd be logical then.
  20. He was a finance major at NDSU of all places, so he needs a very wide berth, extra time, and a special bus.
  21. Some Facebook posts in recent weeks have targeted Roughriders as a name to stop. Wonder if they got to the committee? Some people ?. Rough Riders will be the choice against the alternatives. It probably would not win against North Dakota.
  22. Looks like a diesel refinery is moving ahead in Berthold. Stanley, Minot, and Devils Lake are on deck with various companies. http://thebakken.com/articles/1228/bakken-refinery-developers-create-jv-focus-on-berthold
  23. Seattle's lack of a hockey arena may have bit Seattle again. The SoDo arena requires an NBA team before Seattle and King County chip in to build it. For Tukwila and Bellvue, owners have to pay for the arena and team. Key Arena has horrible sight lines for hockey even as a temporary facility. A relocation cant happen until there's a new arena. Seattle's NHL dreams may be screwed for twenty more years.
  24. And more than 60% of DI teams are in the South and West, where the is one DI school, Denver, and another one, Arizona St starting one. Do you suppose location and history have much impact on the locations of DI hockey schools and NHL teams? Ninety percent of lacrosse teams are east of the Appalachians, but that didn't stop Denver from winning the whole thing. Plenty of Bison fans want to start their own lax team now, and there's not an excuse that it's a regional sport like hockey.
  25. So Larson of NDSU is open to the idea of playing the NDSU-UNI games in the new Vikings Stadium? Some Bison fans want the next UND game there in 2019, because they think they can get a pretty large crowd and make a small fortune and because it would prove that they own the Cities. Would not be opposed to such a location for a UND game.
