Thanks so much to the team and especially the Seniors. You had so much heart and left a legacy for future teams to follow. There were program builders.
-
Looks like UNI beat Louisville 3-0 in the previous match, but the NCAA bracket hasn't been updated yet. There might be a delay to get in warmups.
-
If they play like they did in the 4th set against Sac St, they will be competitive. If the play like the 2nd and 3rd sets against Sac St, it will be a total wipe out. The Gophers graduated a lot, but they have younger very talented kids filling in ably. This team's power game just seemed to appear when UND was going to end their season. Knew they had it in them, but it needs to make another appearance now.

Carson Wentz taking Philly err Indy err DC by storm

Was so wrong on how many sausages you scarf down and suck. I'm not right about everything to your satisfaction.

More P5 slots means more money, which jackfan says there won't be. The NFL's trouble helps the CFP as it is more wholesome.
-
Every indication so far is that the CFP pot will get bigger, including more slots. Try again.
-
Guess I skimmed it too fast. Interest may include offers, especially with vb full scholarships. 6'3" gals aren't that common and are usually offered a scholly if there is interest but defensive specialists are often offered a roster spot without scholarship. Don't know beyond that.

It's hilarious how my previous statements are so attacked here when I was only wrong because I didn't want NDSU to benefit. Turns out we will pave the way for them to go FBS too. FBS gives much more advertising benefit than FCS because only FBS is taken seriously by the national media. UND would be grouped with much higher level academic institutions, elevating the academic prestige. Both of those are worth millions. If the new Summit can get in the CFP next go round, that's at least $1 mill extra per team plus the games against P5s will be much more valuable paying more than twice our current payouts. FCS doesn't have an financial upside, while FBS does.

This article says 6'3" Morgan Hunt had offers from Tennessee and Colorado St but chose UND in part because we had a sell out and fantastic fans. journaltimes.com/sports/high-school/girls-volleyball-park-s-hunt-finds-her-reward/article_111ecde1-dc5c-5e7a-8b3c-d8fc8b2f6e8a.html

Well if you haven't noticed through all you rantings about why UND can't go FBS, I have consistly said a group of BIG Sky schools will go FBS. That hasnt changed, so I've been consistent that way. You and jdub have consistently said FBS is impossible and no way should UND aspire to get the exposure of Coastal Carolina, Bowling Green, Akron, La-Monroe as they are way above us in prestige and resources. NOT. The WAC will still go FBS, this time with NMSU, UCDavis, Cal Poly, Sac St, Sam Houston St, UTRGV, Lamar and SF Austin. The Summit would go FBS with the Dakota's, Montana's, Idaho and EWU. I know I am not popular with your ilk who join forces with bison trolls, but I'm entirely OK with that. Never thought that two western league would go FBS, but that's what my radar says now.
-
Any change gets shot down immediately there. Especially talk of new FBS conferences -as most G5 fans see that as a threat. They never see change coming, just like Southpaw and Jdub here. Everything always will stay the same is the constant refrain and it's always wrong too but they never get called on it.
-
So strange and illogical that when southpaw and jdub launch their attacks based on their opinions - not facts, nary a word is heard out of you.
-
Maybe you should ban all opinion on this board.
-
There some serious lack of pattern recognition on your part, jdub. Only when UND says they will join the MVFC, did the MVFC and Big Sky announce a challenge. The same thing happens with the Summit and Big Sky in mbb. The P5 conference that have challenges get major TV bucks and it is organized by the conference offices. The comparison is totally off but by your logic standards thats normal. This challenge has been organized by a subset of schools in both conference and isn't blessed by the conference offices. It's like a civil war against the left out other schools like W Ill, ORU, IPFW, Idaho St, SUU etc. Omaha participating is like an acknowledgement that they are "in" for the long term and want to be part of this Great Northern conference. What UND and Denver did to the hockey world is happening to the Summit too. Suspect Denver and UND have been working on this since the WAC FBS days. Denver's reason for leaving the WAC (GCU profit status) was just a bunch of hooey. Denver wants to be associated with flagship schools and DI hockey schools in an all sports conference. That is happening, but at a slower pace than the formation of the NCHC. UND and Denver are key drivers on this.
-
My bet is ORU moves to the WAC next. The WACneeds more schools, and such a move would set off a crisis in the Summit, as it would be on course for losing its autobid as ORU sponsors key sports like baseball and men's soccer. The Summit sponsoring football and inviting the Montana Idaho four would set the Summit on firm ground.
-
Those eight plus USD and Denver have already started a relationship. A new Summit will be just a continuation and cementing of the existing relationships.
-
UCDavis and Cal Poly probably just put in notices that they will move for football reasons, as the Big West at 11 does not make much sense.. The WAC needs to take Sam Houston St, Lamar and SF Austin.
-
One big surprise is that High Point at an at large bid, even though it was rated below UND. High Point and Radford, both from the Big South, go bids. Sac St made the NVIC, and two teams UND beat will host in that tournament: Ole Miss and Green Bay.
-
The other teams in that four team subregional are UNI and Louisville. Minnesota is a #7 overall seed this time, unlike last year when it was s the #1 overall. The four top seeds are Penn St, Florida Stanford and Kentucky. Kentucky is a surprise as the B1G didn't get much respect.
-
Think that was only the coach psychologically posturing to his players to get in gear. An NVIT bid could have likely been at home which would be a program booster. Faison would go for hosting if there was open space at the Betty, with near record crowds. Suspect it will be the kind of competition that UND would do well against, including P5's.
-
Cal Poly and NAU probably thought they would have a cake walk with San Diego. The Bizon's get a break again. Most posters also thought an MVFC power school like South Dakota would blow out Nicholls St, which had a weak schedule, but Nicholls almost took down the MVFC.
-
Sounds like UCSD will get a DI offer and join the Big West. UCSD is the highest rated academic school in DII and even above the vast majority of DI schools, but was voted down by the Big West last year. http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/sports/sd-sp-ucsd-expected-to-join-big-west-20171125-story.html

Surprised that there isn't a public watch party for the team. Many schools that have made it have one, like Western Kentucky and Austin Peay. Would be easy to open up the Betty and show the ESPNU show at 8 PM.
