Going into the game, this is the biggest question I had. It appeared to not be a big deal for a long time....then it became a HUGE deal.

With the news over the last couple days, I can't help but think the 22-23 team has the potential to be special.

Thanks. So 20-21 was 4G-5A for 9 points, and a +10. Certainly not eye-popping stats, but a contributor, and significantly better than 21-22 (1 G and -4; yikes!). I still feel he was a valuable member of the 20-21 squad, but really regressed in 21-22.

2018 and especially 2019 were sort of clunkers.

These are the reasons why I love college hockey. After UND has been eliminated, I (almost) always cheer for the team that's never one it, or has been in a long drought. It's especially nice when a nationally known school gets some hockey recognition, too.

So true. NCAA hockey is better when schools like Minnesota and Wisconsin are in the mix.

The pickins were slim this year for a #4 to knock off a #1, IMO. Before play started, I'd say Harvard would have had the best chance, although UMass-Lowell and Northeastern were both solid.

Haha. I hardly even consider the Gophers a rival anymore. They need a spark in that program. They've been hit the hardest by the B1G hockey conference. Almost feel a little sorry for them.

I never would have thought that to be the case, but I agree. I'd actually make UMinn over both of the schools at this point.

I don't mind John, though he's not a great PxP guy. He has an infectious excitement for the action of the game.

Best thing I've found at Helix. I've had crab cakes in Baltimore, and these were better. Highly recommend.
