  1. Probably an emotional hangover after the big win, but after a tight first set, 25-22, Omaha finishes off UND 25-12 in the next two.
  2. Finally! https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/college/how-und-volleyball-meshed-returners-and-newcomers-to-go-from-worst-to-first-in-the-summit-league?fbclid=IwAR3yPnwxU6OiFo9B6MG2nCbVop7aFEphrMGt-brrZmiWqCIP7MuEwHlOwV0
  3. Sometimes certain cities are not always shown, and it's not consistent. Believe me, Fargo and St. Cloud are indeed pinned.
  4. I was dinking around with Google Maps and made a map with all of the cities where UND plays conference games, including MVFC, NCHC, and Summit. Not sure how useful such a map is, but I do think it would be fun to take a big road trip to see several away contests (especially during October when all conferences would have sports competing) and this map could help in the planning. Let me know your thoughts, or if I missed someplace (or if it doesn't work). https://goo.gl/maps/BFT5246YXTuC6J5r7
  5. I still have not seen any article in the GFH about volleyball's big win on Saturday
  6. Yeah, I am not upset about 2016, although it could have happened during a late regular season away game. In 2018 (first Vegas hockey game), football hosted Weber St. (Who was ranked #4 at the time; huge game). Last year was the way it should be done (football was at Missouri St.).
  7. When will destination hockey games stop being scheduled during a UND home football game?
  8. I watched the Missouri St. game replaying on Midco last night. (I missed it because I was in Maine that day, so I only ever saw highlights.) I did notice that there is a lot of noise from the band and music from the speakers when UND is on offense. While it seems like this would be detrimental to our offense, if Bubba was upset about it, don't you think he would have stopped it by now? Maybe the coaches like to challenge themselves during a real-game scenario to mimic playing in a hostile road environment?? Or maybe Bubba can't hear at his age?! Anyway, playing at the Alerus as NOT been detrimental, so why screw up a good thing?
  9. Just airing thoughts here, so input from others is appreciated. How many people that attend UND football games are coming from the Twin Cities? Those people might choose to attend a UND hockey game that is in their backyard rather than travel 4-5 hours to watch UND football, and that is why there could be an attendance conflict. I wouldn't blame them for that. There could also be people in Grand Forks / Fargo that would choose to watch hockey play a long-time rival who is now only scheduled out of conference. I wouldn't blame them for that either. Though, seeing as I live in Grand Forks, I personally wouldn't do that. I would go to the football game that's in my backyard.
  10. We may as well shore up the defense, run the table (SUs be damned), and get to 9-2 with a seed.
  11. Actually didn't even realize they were tight ends. With the weapons we have, I just want an offense so balanced that there's no way for a defense to prepare for all they are going to be faced with.
  12. When did that happen? He's listed on the 2022 roster. And was tweeting about UND FB at the end of August.
  13. Was also thinking that these two aren't being mentioned as much. Although, some people were commenting on how Red was a decoy during the Mo. St. game. What about Tyler Burian? I can't remember if he has an injury or not.
  14. Bummer. Not what I was wanting to hear, but we've made do so far.
  15. You are also spot on about Tommy. He has taken his game to a new level by adding a scrambling component. His stats are very good, too. What would his QB rating be if his stats were analyzed using the same criteria as the NFL?
  16. I also wanted to point out that my favorite part of the season so far is that no is questioning who the QB should be.
  17. I think the season is going well. We've won at home and split on the road - I've always heard that's what you have to do to be legit, and we've done that. Probably the surprise of the year is how Hoosman has seamlessly replaced Weah's production, and is (hopefully) a much better teammate. O-line has played above their class, too. The disappointment is how unpredictable the defense is. IMO the defense has not lost a game for us, as I believe the two losses would have still been losses. But, with our looming schedule of the top 2 teams in the country, I think the signs are pointing to defense as the reason we as fans would feel those games could be losses. Another disappointment is how we cannot rely on automatically taking the 3 points from a FG if our drive stalls out. Fortunately, that has also not cost us a game, but it certainly could. We're in a good place, but not a great place. Would like to see those goods turn to greats after the bye.
  18. When those guys get it, I’ll feel like we really have something.
  19. Any place to find highlights of our victory on Saturday?
  20. Who will be unavailable for this game? Skokna, I am assuming. What about Fort? Anybody else? Also, do we have a list of those (if anybody) that are known to be out for the season?
  21. SDSU does not have a bye until the last week of the season (Nov. 19), so they play 11 straight weeks. Our game with them will be game number 8, and the second of back-to-back road games. Again, giving me more confidence considering that we'll be fresh and at home. Would be a great time to win another big game in front of the home crowd.
  22. Hopefully that game is knock-down drag-out, and then we come in fresh following the bye. I think we can do this.
  23. And Sammy Fort's injury. From what I remember, he has not been declared done for the season, correct?
  24. Just curious - any particular reason you chose this game to attend?
  25. I think we will beat one of the SUs and go 8-3. But need to shore up defense to be able to do that. Got to use the bye week to get better.
