  1. I would consider Norris, Olson, and Barber as main contributors, and they are all underclassmen. Ward and Stockman are graduate students.
  2. Set 3 is a 26-24 win. UST was down by 6 early and actually took the lead at one point.
  3. I sometimes think the same thing about how we have been able to get our 8 wins. Maybe UST is better than their record and we’re seeing it tonight.
  4. I think they will be relevant in most sports most years. Solid addition, but they might take take away chances for conference championships from us
  5. UND takes set 2 25-21 to even it up. Still struggling more than I would have thought against UST.
  6. UND did not look too good in set 1, dropping it 25-22 to lowly St. Thomas.
  7. Crowd has some mojo tonight with the band and lots of students.
  8. So, we've got passes from Schuster to Schusted in our future?
  9. Skokna was a big contributor in this game. With him out, we are going to need Isiah Smith to fill those shoes. I don't doubt that special teams will contribute something; probably a fake punt to keep a drive alive. I am also going to call a strip sack of Gronowski.
  10. I actually think the game will turn out a lot like this.
  11. I won't be in total shock if UND wins, but I will if the score is 14-2! 38-34 type of I game, I think, if UND is on the winning side.
  12. Besides you guys, the best person I can have decent discussion of FCS football is a DIE-HARD Bison fan (I say die-hard because he's not going to be fair weather when the tides turn). Even my dad, a long-ago UND alum, who taught me to be a Sioux fan from birth, barely even mentions football, and is seemingly just as likely to bring up NDSU. We need some statement wins, and one of them will need to be against the Bison.
  13. Most of my football buzz comes from this site, but I did overhear a guy wearing a "Sioux Football" hoodie talk about tailgating last night at BWW. He's probably a poster on this site
  14. I usually do too, but I think going on offense first is the right move this time.
  15. So, if we win the coin the toss, do we take the ball on offense? I think I would like to see that. First play a fake hand-off with a completed pass for about 30 yards to get right into SDSU territory.
  16. That's exactly what I said over in the "What's needed at the Alerus" thread a few days ago. It doesn't seem to be hurting our home field advantage over the last few seasons.

So, hypothetically, where does an 8-3 team get seeded with SoS of 3? How how about a 9-2 or 7-4 team?
  19. I think SDSU is ripe for the picking this week. I think the game will have a similar feel (and result) to the 2020 (played in Spring 2021) game. Maybe a slow defensive start (we are known for that), but then a nice tightening up. Bringing QB pressure is the way to go here, I think. Offensively, I think we do all the things: passing, rushing, screens, tricks, fakes. We have the offensive weapons to keep their defense on edge. Wish we had Skokna for this game, though.
  20. Doing this on the road, though it was ultimately a loss, is still a huge step forward. I think that road win against the Bison really upped the ante on the season.
  21. Do we play anybody new this week and pull a Hunter Luepke out of our hat like NDSU did on us that one year? Elijah Klein? Gaven Ziebarth? Nate Demontagnac?
  22. Agreed. Don't want them to have a home field ride to Frisco.
  23. While I want this to be true more than almost anything, until I see it, I have to believe that other teams are going to fold under the pressure of having to knock off the undisputed kings of FCS. PS. Please let it be UND that does the dethroning.
  24. We should have a lot of advantages. Time to prove our mettle.
