  1. Perhaps waiting until semester ends so students can concentrate on the academics?? I believe Hoosman was brought in in May last year.
  2. Appears to have interest from most all regional G5 and FCS schools. From what I can tell, he visited Grand Forks on April 1.
  3. Amen. There was a time that I didn't think this had to be the case, but I've been a firm believer for a while now. Make it happen in '23, please, please, God!!
  4. Could be like the Big Ten and and schedule Friday/Sunday hockey series to avoid Saturday football. I prefer the double header, myself.
  5. I would bet almost anything that this game will end up overlapping or being simultaneous with the hockey game.
  6. Thanks, SWSiouxMN, for all you do on Sioux Sports in regards to the BB programs.
  7. OK. Never saw his name mentioned on the thread, but I sometimes skip some pages.
  8. You are right - today is the day. https://fightinghawks.com/news/2023/4/11/mens-hockey-garrett-pyke-transfers-to-north-dakota-for-2023-24-season.aspx
  9. Yep. The ultimate recruits are the high-end ones that stick around for 3-4 years.
  10. With the college winter sports seasons over, Midco has already been playing replays for quite a while now. Just watch the schedule and these games will show up eventually.
  11. If you'd be so willing, I'd be interested in this same comparison for the 2015-16 season between Q and UND.
  12. But what if they never do? Then what? I think that's the point people were at with Hakstol. You would think 7 Frozen Fours would have been enough. Maybe Hak's number was 8 - we'll never know. Even if 8 was the number, that seems exceedingly high, doesn't it?
  13. This is such a loaded question. They got one piece of hardware; Big Ten regular season champs (I don't know if that accomplishment actually comes with a physical piece of hardware, but I assume so), and had a chance at two more pieces (Big Ten tournament champion and NCAA champion) that they didn't get. Considering the expectations, whether the season was a success could be argued either way forever (and at ad nauseum). If UND were in the same shoes (which they have been in very similar shoes several times), as a fan, I would say no, the season was not successful to meet my satisfaction. But taking out emotion, the pure statistical optics show a very successful season.
  14. I also think Q was due a PP after some questionable calls earlier.
  15. The Day by Day video gives me a lot of anticipation for the upcoming season. Things do seem a little different and in a good way.
  16. Is Q the team of the last decade? Perhaps not (Duluth or Denver May have their cases), but they’re in the top 3, I’d say. Congrats to them for getting the monkey off their back. It’s always nice to see a first time champion.
  17. Wouldn’t necessarily say that. UND was able to rebuild from its 2011 non-championship team and get it done 5 years later. I would expect Minnesota to be able to do the same.
  18. Kind of agree. For a time there in the 2nd period where was virtually no crowd noise.
  19. Usually the 3rd period is when a true championship team makes their mark. We shall see.
  20. Both championship games they’ve played in they got beaten pretty handily (4 goals in each case). Hopefully Peck has learned a few things from those losses and make tomorrow’s game much more interesting.
  21. From what I’m reading, there’s nothing that would make me root against Pecknold. Hope he gets it done this time.
  22. Was he specifically critical of UND’s players and/or coaches in 2016? Is he critical of UND’s program in general?
