Absolutely! I’m already at peace with what happens in tomorrow’s Vikes-Pack game.
-
Yes!!! Biggest win in the Bubba era, IMO - bigger than Wyoming. Season and program defining win.

Hopeful prediction: UND 31-28 Realistic prediction: SHSU 35-21 I’m not saying they can’t do it (see hopeful prediction), but playing a ranked, perennial playoff team on the road would be a major feat for an unproven team (see realistic prediction). For the sake of the season and current state of the program, a win today would go a looooooooong ways.

Volleyball girls split a pair of games in Jacksonville, FL yesterday and today.
-
Lost both games today 3-0. Sounds like some of the sets were competitive, but some weren’t.

Hey didn't mean to offend anybody. I'm a legitimate UND fan through and through, and not a troll. What I meant by meaningless is that it doesn't hurt them if they lose the game. It does hurt them if they lose to an FCS team later, whether it be regular season or playoffs, because an opponent was able to learn a little too much about UND through watching film of this game, which is why I don't think we'll see anything too flashy. I love reading the comments, and occasionally chime in, but football is not my forte, so I mainly just read. I've learned a lot about the game, though, by following these threads.

While it would be interesting to see how imaginative a play-caller would have to be to truly take on a top-10 FBS team with the expectation of winning, or at least playing close, I can't imagine UND (Rudolph, in particular) would show very many cards offensively in a game that essentially meaningless. Need to save those for games that really matter. Don't get injured, don't get embarrassed, bring home the paycheck, and use the money wisely.

Iowa state and Texas a&m have both played at the Betty in late August in years past, so we take good competition if we can get it.
-
Was not at the game this afternoon, but I noticed both teams we've played (EWU and WCU) have winning records. They must have played some pretty crappy teams, because they were basically pushovers for UND.
-
Pretty much the exact assessment that everyone on here was making.
-
453 according to posted box score.
-
UND caps off the sweep with good third set, cruising 25-12.
-
Second set was much tighter 25-20. UND wasn’t as sharp, but ewu was much better.
-
UND girls completely outmatched EWU in set 1 25-10. No competition.
-
Predicting a win, but not as big of a blowout as some. 34-14 NoDak.
-
This is one way UND benefits from having the B1G Network televise Gopher games. I love that these games reach our target recruiting area.

What an honor. https://fightinghawks.com/news/2018/8/27/womens-volleyball-volleyball-to-have-every-home-match-aired-on-tv.aspx

So, accept my apologies for such a delayed posting (got caught up in a work issue). My biggest takeaways of the night are: Kayla Williams (UConn transfer) was the star of the night. By my count, she had 14 kills, 2 errors, 2 blocks, and 2 service aces. She can jump serve. The other players with the most attempts were Jordan Vail, obviously, (8 kills, 2 errors, 4 blocks), and Lydia Rutten (9 kills, 3 errors, 3 blocks). Ashley Bruggeman and Brynn Nieukirk had quietly good nights with 13 kills, 0 errors, and 3 blocks between the two of them. 0 errors really stands out to me. Lexi Ahrens had a slow start, but ended with 7 kills, 4 errors, and 4 blocks. Roosa Rautio was the setter on the winning team for all three sets, so my guess is that's who gets the starting job. Alivia Fraase was solid defensively, as expected. I wouldn't be surprised if Morgan Hunt redshirts. She's tall (6'3"), but needs some meat on the bones. My guess at the starting line-up is Rautio, Fraase, Vail, Bruggeman, Williams, Rutten, and Nieukirk.

First time logging in for a while - wow! Did not realize we had lost Johnson and Mattson over the summer. Green/White scrimmage is tonight, and I will give updates between sets. Looking forward to owning the Summit in volleyball

Ne neither, and I'm thinking I won't get season tickets this year because of it. I still plan to go to games, but not sure of committing Sunday afternoons in the fall to volleyball. I wouldn't be surprised if attendance drops off with the irregular schedule. And I hope in 2019-20 UND exercises more clout when it comes to home games.

http://www.thesummitleague.org/sports/wvball/2018-19/schedule?teamId=084k7k5sgsnrbci6 Summit League has posted the conference schedule dates, but not times. Extremely disappointed that UND will now have a lot of home matches on Friday and Sunday.

The Gophers wouldn't want to risk playing a North Dakota school that could beat them

I ended up working late, and couldn't go anyways.

Anybody know if this is open to the public?
