I’m just saying he’d get more exposure at Und (or any other big school) and would be playing with more talent. Which can be fairly important.
But you are correct, it has been done before.
I know right. I’ve heard he’s locked into BSU though. Tough because a kid like that should be playing with a bigger program with more exposure. He’s good.
I would be top $ all the coaches are tampering. Or the coaches have someone else (in their network) that is tampering for them. I’m next to certain on it.
Oh no worries at all. Another thing I look at is stratifying first year guys too. The jump from MN HS/Tier 1 specifically to the USHL is extremely tough. One of the biggest jumps out there. So I’ll filter by rookie scoring and pts/game. I would assume Boisvert is towards the top…with Swanson putting up an extremely good season.
You have to asses by position really. Both Strathmann and Livanavage were top 10 D at pts/gm
I really like to look at pts/gm. But I focus more on top 10-25. 60 is probably a bit much. Croal has too many penalties and is really streaky. I’m guessing he has a nice year next year.
Ethan Philips to WMU (from BU). Righty dman that put up ok numbers the past two years in Boston. Had a really nice USHL season. I remember him being solid in the tourney. Curious if Bubs was after him. 5th year righty dman (4th rounder too).
I believe he announced late last week or this past weekend.
Josh Eirnesse (St Thomas) flipped there too. I was actually hoping we were in on him. Put together a really nice season last year.
He’s following a decent number of teams, including goofs. Not UND though. I’d say we have next to zero chance with this one.
I do have a hunch we’ll be hearing something here soon though
I like the commitment I really do…I just think shaugabay is a wizard. If his work ethic holds…he’ll play a very long time. His vision is translatable skill all the way up.
A lot of his goals was because of shaugabays passing. But again, decent get. He’ll probably play a his senior year then a year of juniors. I’m curious if he’ll go NTDP next year, typically Warroad kids don’t.
