“In the lodge” - Friday BSU game day thread
scpa0305 replied to The Sicatoka's topic in Men's Hockey
Oh I’ve never heard of that…my whole life if your team has the puck and there’s more than 5 skaters on the ice it’s obv too many men. Not sure what can be reviewed. -

This is the worst stream I have ever seen. I cannot believe I paid $30 for this. -

No Moore or Johnson??? -
It looks like it…they’ve seemed to up the price considerably. $30 for the month, dang. They’re baiting you into that annual option.
-
Actually Tambellini slightly panned out. Wilkie got better too.
-
I don’t really agree with that. If he wants to play in the NHL and stay (which may be a long shot), he need to learn to see the ice better. Move the puck better. The days of these guys that only hit are completely gone. The guys that hit in todays game can do other things really well too. And fighters are basically disappearing too (even though kleven doesn’t come across as a guy that’s going to fight all the time). To be honest, kleven should stay this year and next year…unless he takes off from this point forward. He’s still so young.
-
I noticed the same thing….started with a bang and then just stopped producing.
-
Burchill picked Michigan…go figure.
-
I think he just got cut by Vernon. Gotta feel for the kid at this point. Not looking good that he makes it to campus. Everyone has a ceiling…sometimes it sneaks up on you quicker than expected.
-
Singleton is still committed? He’s on his third team in the last two months…dropping in leagues each time. He’s looking more like a Canadian U/D3 kid.
-
Yeah, hopefully Livanavage gets drafted this year. I was shocked he didn’t get drafted after last year. Fairly slow start this year but looks to be picking it up. Weibe does have nice size and he’s getting a ton of PT in Chilliwak. Curious how he’d do in the USHL.
-
What? Well obviously but given some of the prospects we’ve missed, this is huge from my angle. He’s 16 a averaging over a pt/gm in the ushl. I saw the cakebread comparison, he basically had a hatty his first game and that was it.
-
Agreed, the ushl is about as good as it’s ever been right now. The league is absolutely nasty. Given the DNA and video game numbers he’s put up (all the way up)…this is as close to you get as a college hockey lock there is. Given his size I could see him slipping in the draft, but should be a nice college player.
-
We def have some intriguing prospects, just not a ton of them. ATM, I really am high on Strathmann and Swanson. Perron is obviously really nice too but I noticed his numbers plunged when Celebrini left for that U17 tourney so we’ll see. I’ll need to see more of McInnis but sounds like he’s a nice player with some high upside. Boisvert obviously nice too. Weibe seems like he’ll be a nice college dman with size skill but the BCHL is really tough to judge right now, pandemic really hurt those leagues. Jake L, time will tell. Obv has some O upside however he’s tiny. Curious how that transition will go…based on his numbers last season he should have gotten drafted, curious what the flaw is. But we also have a handful of players in juniors that are struggling. Curious what will happen there.
-
Yes, that is correct. Really depends how many players we need each year. I don’t like comparing to MN but that’s the comparison I usually do, they have a bunch of 05s, 06s. We have 2 elite 05s, 2/3 06s. The question is who they are surrounding them with.
-
Struggling. On the flip side, he’s one who should play another year or 2 of ushl hockey. He isn’t going to be drafted (most likely) so he should come in overly ready.
-
Actually that’s still fairly thin TBH. Perron and Strathmann both coming in next year…Swanson two years out. Coaching group needs more than that.
-
He chose us over DU and MN after watching Saturdays game…he’s either super smart or not at all
