  1. Anyone else notice this during the game....I was wondering who that chick was behind the devils bench. If you were watching the game they showed her like 3 times. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-daddy/taylor-stevens-porn-star-talks-her-heaving-cleavage-163133543.html
  2. Well that I was unaware of, I stand corrected. Which other tribes disapprove? Was it the Standing Rock tribe that wouldn't let their own people speak up on this topic? I'm guessing there is something corrupt going on there.
  3. There is one huge difference, those deadlines you just listed have to do with money owed to another party. Money makes the world go round....people/businesses need it to operate. The deadline we are talking about is more of a moral topic, what is right/what is wrong and who is offended or not offended. This isn't your typical payment deadline, the other party isn't out soemthing of value (assets) because it is late. You have to look at the NCAA's reasoning for initially bringing this topic up in the first place....because they felt the name and logo disgraced a group of people. But obviously it does not! You keep bringing up the deadline issue, that is a moot point to me. It is like if you put a deadline as to when a convicted murdered has time to appeal his own crime with factual evidence....when the DNA results come back and prove he is innocent (no matter when that is) the guy is free. End of story.
  4. Have the tribes of those other schools tried so hard to keep the name? No responses about how late they were, I could care less.
  5. I would agree with that....one goes they all go. And no, I don't care about deadlines or any of that, I know FSU got their approval within their alloted time frame and we didn't. But at the end of the day, both tribes appear to not be offended (or all three for that matter).
  6. Yeah, after I posted I thought about it a little longer and due to the WCHA having far less games I really do not like it as much as I initially did; an individual game is more important in college than in the NHL (for that reason). 4x4 OT's might get the games over quicker though. I just would like to get rid of ties.
  7. Yeah, I don't count then. I simply would hope that a group of people (NCAA) could find ok for us to use the name due to it not offending the group they think is offended. That's it. That's all I got. All you guy s have your answers but there is always a first for everything (ex. Braun had his steroid failure overturned....that had never happened in the MLB before but they brought forward their story or evidence and it was overturned; a little off topic I know but I wanted to think of an example where if something is truly right...than a right action should eventually follow).
  8. I am all for keeping the nickname because I believe that at some point this issue can be resolved with the NCAA, however, I would never boycott UND athletics. No matter what their nickname is, I will always be a UND fan and will always attend their games. No, I am not Dave K. (reasoning I responded and bolded that text) but I can't believe someone would actually boycott sioux athletics because some other people voted to get rid of the name. Now if a business owner put out a large campaign to get rid of the name, I would definitely boycott that business.
  9. Well then, the appeal by the natives should end his rants.
  10. Oh, ok. I was wondering about that one. I couldn't figure out where he was going with his/her arguements....seemed like he was on the same side as you all.
  11. So all you "Yes" guys like to argue and bash people so much that you are actually now fighting amongst each other....this is getting stranger by the day. Go Sioux!
  12. Agreed, works great on my phone as well.
  13. How do people feel about the new rule changes proposed for the future. I for one, am definitely for the 3/4 (or half) visors and would also like to see either 4x4 or shootouts incorporated into the games. Old time hockey fans may not like to see shootouts in the games, however, I have actually grown to (somewhat) enjoy them. I also think college hockey should transition their rules more to the pro style of game to encourage more top recruits, from not only the US, but from Canada and Europe as well. One issue I currently have with how college hockey (more specifically the WCHA) is the number of penalties called each game. I watch a good amount of both WCHA and NHL hockey and I can't believe the total special teams time WCHA games have, it has climbed for a while but now it is out of control. I read an article in the Herald a few year's back which noted they were going to start calling more penalties in the WCHA, boy did they ever. Just some thoughts of mine. Anyone else hope for any changes?
  14. Yes I know that...I was getting to the point that everything is relatively close in GF whereas in the TC everything, for the most part, is far away.
  15. Quick is awesome....hopefully the Devils can get lucky.
  16. Agreed....pretty childish.
  17. ...and the trash talking continues. Sorry I don't fully agree with most of you on measure 4. Most other threads I'm calm and collective but the classlessness everyone shows on this thread is terrible.
  18. Nice....thanks! I think I'll need to check out at least one of the all star games.
  19. I don't doubt you on that.
  20. Puuhhhlease! When has Sioux fans ever been fickle?!?
  21. O’Keefe said he worries about “the degree of divisiveness this has brought on UND, its alumni and friends,” including among faculty, families and former teammates. “Particularly in the past year and a half, the division has gone to nuclear levels.” From that article Sioux82 posted. This is very true....we're all Sioux (oh I meant UND fans :o)) and now we all hate each other. I have been posting on this site for roughly 2 months and have learned two things.....many of these posters don't know a heck of a lot about hockey other than Sioux hockey and if you vote No to measure 4 you might as well be mentally handicapped (sarcasm meant obviously to most of you childish posters). I find it funny how the same guys (you know who I'm talking about) blab all day about voting Yes (at no end), however, when a few of us try to note we support the No voters you all absolutely lose it. Many of you need to eat your own words.
  22. Haha, couldn't help myself. Living in the Cities it costs $15 in gas just to get to the grocery store.
  23. Come on man! $15? I bet the same people would still go.
  24. Watch out with that one buddy
