I disagree, this was the best game I have seen the Sioux play this year. They still had some soft defensive turnovers like they always do but overall they played pretty well. We simply ran into an outstanding goalie...that kid was awesome....I wish we could find goalie liket who can absolutely steal games. He played big in the net so deflections would be harder to score on, he was extremely quick (that much was obvious) and his rebound control was solid. On a different note, we need to keep playing like we did last night and good things will come our way quickly. We need to win tonight.

That's what I was going to say...but didn't want to catch any flack for critizing the kid. I know he is only 16 but there are a decent amount of kids that play juniors that are 16 and put up more points (if we're talking about prospective UND recruits). I mean, UND has to recruit the best kids around...not simply feel good stories out of ND. I had buddies leave to juniors right after their sophomore years and they were putting up better numbers than that...and in the USHL no less. The NAHL is quite a lower level of play than the USHL. On a more positive note, there is a good chunk of the season left...he may turn it around. One other thing, I see he was drafted in the USHL, why wouldn't he go play there? Homesick? Typical response about wanting to spend time with friends (or girlfriend)?

Wow....big win for ND. Hurley is downright awesome....at least the goofs didn't get him. He needs to put on weight big time.

Agreed, yes we have more NC's but this is a "what have you done for me lately era" so BC should be treated on a higher standard (for now). All in all, UND is still a top 3-5 program in the country so they can't take that away from us. But yes, BC sure has the trophies through my lifetime.

Didn't Portland just get blasted by the league? I find the timing of this a bit odd.

So far, Saunder has played pretty well. He absolutely stole Friday night's ND game and I heard he played extremely well against SCSU that Friday night. He has also played some below average game....last Friday and Saturday night. Either way....he is an upgrade over Dell. I would like to see more of Gothberg...I actually thought he would have the job by now. His leash was much shorter than Saunders....give the kid a break Hak!

Well in high school he always wore a UND hat. I also had a gophers jersey when I was super young....by high school we all rooted for the Sioux.

Yeah...until they figure things out. I liked the Gophs simply because my parents were Sioux fans and simply wanted to be different. Once I turned 13-14 or something I got my head on straight. I knew and played with Ryan for quite along time....he was at many Sioux games when he was younger. Irmen was a big Sioux fan and was actually hoping to play for UND right up until the end.

He is. In a more positive direction....Luke Johnson is sure picking it up lately. He has a nice little point streak going plus a goal already in tonight's game.

You know you are exactly right. I have no doubt this team will turn it around as they have too much talent, however, when sloppy play and a lack of effort occurs for half a season you put yourself in tight position where you have to hope for a run....only to most likely flame out early. They will make their push and start firing on all cylinders; I just hope it starts tonight. I too don't want to see them put in a position where they have to roll off 13 straight wins just to be sent somewhere else. For some reason I never thought this bad start would occur this season. Last year was different, they lost tons of scoring and the injury bug was as bad as I've seen on any team. I thought that experience they received last year would help them tremendously. Hopefully things turn around tonight.
