I really did think we’d be in on 1-2 of these higher end CHL guys. Money talks I guess. It’s a bit early…but this is starting to feel like SEC football. And I’m not necessarily talking about the Romani commit (he’s a 6th rounder). But I thought we’d grab some skill out of those leagues.

He’ll play D1 for sure….but I’m not sure if he’ll be a Sioux guy or something like BSU, SCSU etc. A buddy of mine who’s kid played for a top D6 bantam team said Marto was the top minnkota bantam forward and it really wasn’t even a conversation. That’s including a loaded Moorhead team with Cullen, buttweiler etc. Marto could literally carry the team and they beat Moorhead twice.

I honestly don’t know. He’s super super super good. But he was an old second year bantam that should have probably been playing HS. He was basically 1-2 in Minnkota bantams Hes not going to be a very big guy, but he’s super good for the level he played at

I am. No idea on McMorrow or Casey. McMorrow would be nice. Works super hard, limited O but a really tough kid to play against. Again I’d take him for sure. Casey is interesting. Has always been a top MN goalie. Sure playing good right now.

Zellers could be a defensive weak link based on what I’ve seen. He floats quite a bit. He’ll get better and better at that; I’m really really high on him. But to expect some huge frosh year may be a bit aggressive. Also, he’s not big either.

Beyond that…they want their players to play. Skilled guys playing a depth role may be more infrequent. They’ll go where the can play….and get payed a bit.

Thats reaching a bit (as it stands right now). Not saying that wouldn’t come to fruition, but preseason top 10 given how last year played out? Coupled with the fact we lack higher end offensive skill up front? Again I don’t see it. Maybe if Boisvert would have stayed.
