    Hopefully we’re after Buttweiler, Thompson and Cullen. Would love Daley too but he may be tough being an east coast kid. I get Cullens boys are going Minny but the goofs could screw that up too

    Yep, 05s this is their last year, next year is 06s. But in the CHL/USHL leagues it’s tougher as they limit the 20 year olds to 3-4 I believe. NAHL is wide open I believe.

    Bantam age kids play JV at HM…unless good enough for varsity. Many HM 8th graders play JV. Weird deal if you ask me.

    No, I was agreeing with your first point…if you’re not in the ushl or CHL leagues it will be extremely tough to even be rostered on an ncaa team let alone play for a blue blood. My comment was on your second point, I don’t think you have to be all world at 16 to play ncaa hockey. 17-18-19 years olds will still pop if they’re athletes/good players. Some just need some time to grow into their bodies.

    Agreed on your first comment 100%. As to your second point, there will always be late blooming athletes….and at the end of the day, the athletes will always win out and find a way. A kid could go bonkers in MN HS hockey at 17-18 do very well in juniors the next year and end up on a good ncaa team. You’re probably correct as far as blue chip prospects go though…much easier for early blooming 16 year olds to be propped up.
