  1. Is Carle leaving?
  2. I think they are…I heard a rumor his gf may be going to Kato? You know how that goes. Also, sounds like his dad and Larson used to play together.
  3. Bleyl really popped this year, I actually think it’s smart to play another year of juniors. He’s a mid to late first round pick, which is wild he’s not coming in next year but there’s really no rush. Reid is a one and done most likely so he’ll walk into a great role after next year.
  4. Bingo. Everyone will 3 or under. Unicorns won’t stay over 3 and everyone else will only have 3.
  5. Jack Nesbitt to Michigan
  6. I’m really hoping this works.
  7. Correct. I wasn’t talking about “drafts” I was talking about guys who make teams. Again, later bloomers typically go undrafted at various levels (ushl/chl, 40 man, nhl, etc) but they make teams. First rounders are first rounders, not talking about those types. I’m more talking about guys who develop later and make teams. I think hale fits that makeup. Again, he’ll need to pack some weight on. He’s skilled. Drafts are obviously beneficial, but they’re point in time markers. After his successful year, I would be confused as to why cc would deco him, unless there was some sort of coaching change im not aware of.
  8. You could very well be right, he could have been decommitted. But I saw him play 2-3 times this year and saw him play here and there over the past 2 years or so. He’s actually pretty good. Yes, he’s playing at his own birth year but he was 100% a later bloomer. And still, right now, he really needs to add some weight to his frame. I think folks get a bit lost with purely looking at ages…he’s actually gotten better and better while also dealing with injuries. He had a much better role on that SSM team than Grubb. And while I realize hale is a year older, anyone who’s seen them knows Grubb is more physically mature at this stage. we’ll see how it all plays out.
  9. I really like Klimpke, he’s going to have a huge year next year.
  10. DuPont Mich or maybe MN like other noted, that makes sense. No idea on Rudolph but again, probably Big10. They’ll get some $
  11. Saw this on social media…Bauer should push for some ice time. Nice depth add for sure. If we weren’t getting another blue chip this is a nice fall back.
  12. This potential deal to Toronto is getting pretty warm…
  13. He’s the same size but he’s different. Carels is a great skater, Schaefer is one of the most explosive skaters on planet earth. Probably the closest thing to McDavid honestly. Schaefer is a unicorn. I really like Carels , but he’s not Schaefer.
  14. Completely agree on Laurila. By the end of the season he was looking pretty dynamic.
  15. True…but man, that franchise is in a rough spot. They may want to delay a year (maybe two) to continue to stack high enders. Would be a tough slot to be a dman next year. He’d be going for the green jacket for sure.
  16. MSU gobbling everything up. Hage still there, Mich needs to make another push. DuPont would make some sense.
  17. I agree with you. I had heard from an unreal source about 2 weeks ago that he was coming here…however that same source also noted that he’s the one def in this draft that could log some nhl games next year. I too think he would have delayed this announcement if he was heavily leaning towards signing.
  18. Those two schools would def make sense as well.
  19. Fiddler isn’t DuPont, Lin or Macbeth. He’s a semi interesting project given his size. He’s fairly mobile, D is a work in progress though. He should be there 3-4 years…not that he will, but he should be.
  20. Yeah…DuPont is clearly the top in that equation. They could easily have Lin and DuPont on PP1.
  21. I could see DuPont also going to DU
  22. They’re different. Carels is more polished. Verhoeff is huge, more of a project.
  23. They could be going with 2 for sure, and what I should have added above is that they all should be on the pp. The pp should have the most skilled guys regardless of position. I’d roll two pps like last year and have 2 D on both…carels, DuPont, Verhoeff and Laurila. This is assuming DuPont and Carels are an option. Side note, I don’t believe we’re in on Rudolph but who knows. I could see Carels or DuPont and another solid frosh. Not one of those big 3 but a tier down.
  24. Maybe but he’s also only coming for a year I would assume. $ wouldn’t be the biggest factor in that scenario. Especially after the McKenna deal, I’m assuming the next guy would like less of the attention.
