I have 10+ college hockey games on tonight on the espn app…hockey east, ecac, etc. Alabama vs NC State club hockey is on tonight. When is the NCHC going to grow up a bit and get big time?

Agreed and highly doubt all players will be gone. Locks to be out are: Livinavage, Wiebe, and Verhoeff. Probably out: Emery; Could be out: Reschny and Zellers. Swanson, Ollie, and Laurila will be there barring injury.

Didn’t know where to put this. But Lincoln Kuehne’s right were traded a few days ago in the USHL. I noticed he’s barely playing at ASU and basically should be a senior in HS by birthdate. Could be on the move.

Stay out of the box and we should cruise this weekend. They can’t play 5v5.

I found out…I guess he turned it down.

Right…from a pure scoring perspective he’s second in the entire league in points. I’m assuming he’s dinged up and needs some rest…or a character type deal.

To get the other two, I’d definitely take him as a depth add. 100%. Decent size, plays D, etc. But Wyatt just announced, they’re not changing I wouldn’t think. I actually heard Matt is letting each of them make their own decisions.

The kid is really good…but I like how the Hughes brothers (well at least Quinn and Luke) did it. Makar and Fox too. Play two full years of college puck before jumping. As good as he is for a 17 year old, I’d wait until he is dominating before leaving. It won’t be all that long of a wait.

I was a little critical on him too…young guys. There’s highs and lows. But last weekend was great for him.

Need to have two guys ready. Just like the pros for the most part. Develops both too.

Love that we’re getting solid goaltending from both I’ve hated the past few years when we’ve rolled one so hard. Play dips for a minute and you’re stuck with either the one or the the guy who’s never played.

That second unit is good. Great puck movement…there’s a lot of movement but the passing is quick and decisive.

Is our D super leaky or is Omaha pretty good?

I believe it was just an announced that national development league is on a pause until 2027. Also, the CHL is not apart of Hockey Canada (directly)

Sure…but these territories are already established within the CHL leagues and this “new US league” will need a territory. The CHL leagues have been using territories since the beginning. More to keep their kids geographically closer to where these kids are from. The new US league will need something similar.

I’ve been hearing that (eventually) the new league will merge into the CHL leagues. Which makes sense (obviously) to me. The nhl needed to jump in and streamline something from a development standpoint. No sure what this means long term for the ntdp…not sure what this means for the prospect territories. I did hear from a buddy (in the know) that the initial proposal would be for all US players to play in the new league. Canadians would obviously stay up north. Not sure what to think about that.
