  1. Another great Schloss article….agree on all front. Especially pushing the commitment age back a year. Teams are still missing late bloomers. Now that the CHL is wide open, committing later makes way more sense for both parties involved.
  2. Agree on the 7 d (Laurila has to play…and should) assuming we’re healthy. Not entirely there on the F depth chart. Not sure who he plays over. This looks like a fairly cut and dry depth and to me.
  3. Really? If we get another ball player, I highly doubt he’s in the lineup. At least to start the year and someone else would have to royally play poorly. We have multiple guys that need to play over him.
  4. That may have been at the start of the year…he was (at the very least) 5’10” when I saw him in April. Maybe a little taller.
  5. Wyatt is not the size of Swanson or Mooney….i saw him in April and he’s every bit of 5’10”/5’11” and he’s definitely not done growing. He was tiny his first year of bantams and def not big his second year of bantams. But he’s def growing now…I have a hunch he’ll be a high high ender
  6. Due to his brain…I’d say Cullen. Later bloomer. Grew a lot in the past 12 months. If he gets over 6ft, look out
  7. There’s a ton of good MN kids though…in all seriousness while I do like this commit, there’s others I’m a little higher on. Cullen was the only commit that really stung. I didn’t think we’d get him but I was hoping the gophs didn’t get him
  8. So good
  9. It could work…but from what I gathered this past week/last year, either Zellers nor Swanson are overly hard on pucks. Meaning the can’t steal pucks. They are possession guys. And actually, I’m not overly sure Zellers is a traditional possession guy now that I’m thinking about it. He floats a bit (waiting for stretch passes) and he’s super good at getting open in the ozone.
  10. That is a very good question.
  11. Wow I did not see that coming
  12. He’s top 6 for sure. And I’m fine with him playing with Reschny, but Menghini and James with Reschny? Looking at stats doesn’t tell a complete picture of a player….but it tells you something over a period of time. James and Mengini’s numbers don’t scream “hi offensive IQ”. Their assist totals over the years are extremely underwhelming. Even high end shooters get more apples than that. They’re both high energy players that chip in ES goals due to their work ethic.
  13. 100% Bob had nothing to do with it. US center lost the draw and nobody was ready to rock after the draw. It was the right time to pull the goalie
  14. I was assuming Michigan. Solid get…Rogowski to MSU
  15. Weird team build…there’s like 1 mn kid
  16. Very very interesting prospect…I’ve seen him play 2-3 times.
  17. Pretty should he’s going back to junior, no? I thought he had mentioned that publicly
  18. I’m still totally blown away by this one…I actually thought he was coming here.
  19. I say this in the nicest way possible…menghini is not really a top line player…and I’m not entirely sure James has the offensive IQ to play with Reschny. To get the most out of Reschny, he’ll need to play with highly offensive/creative players.
  20. Has to be the sticking point. He’d have a top line spot just sitting there for him.
  21. So you’re telling my R McQueen from Sask (playing in Brandon) would rather play for providence as opposed to us? Especially as we need a RW? Money has to be the difference
  22. Sounds like he played well yesterday. All three Sioux boys with pts
  23. I actually like Cover a ton
  24. Me too…not entirely sure he’s a lock. Last pairing again today and USA has been missing D each day
