We are such a poor passing team. Actually they really don’t even try to pass…everything is chip and chase. Scared/boring hockey. Shot totals are embarrassing. We’re like UNO or something.

If we lose it’ll hurt. I’ll say 5-3 DU with an empty netter…we’re up 3-2 heading into the third.

When is the last time we won with them? I feel like it’s been a while. I might have missed a W recently however I know our record wearing them over the last 5 or so times cannot be good.

To me they are two completely separate discussions. I am more concerned with the state of our hockey program at the moment.

Tough to compare tbh, one is the top level in our country….the other is a second tier league. I fully realize UND football is in the same boat, but it is what it is, that’s a fact.

His IQ needs to increase significantly for 6 figures. I’m sure he looks good skating around cones and that shot sure looks good off his blade, but 90% of the time it rings off the glass and his vision is pretty bad if you ask me. I’m next to certain he came in as a playmaker too haha. In all seriousness….this player is allowed to be creative. He’s spinning all over the place and holding onto pucks way too long. He will be a good player…but “Berry’s systems” aren’t ruining this player. He had a really long leash.

I’ve heard that too…but I’ve also heard he’s in the same category as Carle. Dream job, young kids, doesn’t want to bounce around a bunch.

Can we even climb back at this point? We’ll need to win the NCHC tourney.

I believe there was an injury. But still…grab some Russian out of the ushl on the worst team in the league and the kid is the next coming of Tretiak? We need some luck here. Pandolfo is a great coach…another guy who lets the skilled kids go a bit.

The point totals on this team are absurd. We have players avg .3 pts/game on our PP. Nothing makes sense anymore. .3 isn’t that good for a dman.

Mazden Leslie to BG…I was wondering if anyone was in one him. Really good numbers for a dman. BG has scooped up some decent dub commits.

I was just reviewing our players’ stats on CHN. The first thing I noticed…we don’t have too many overly productive players. Our 2nd and 3rd leading pt getters are dmen second, the time on ice stat really caught my ice. Our leading scorer only plays 15 min/gm? Really shocking considering this isn’t an NHL schedule. It’s not overly demanding. Just interesting I guess, typically the top two lines are front loaded and it trickles from there. As an example, Snuggerrud on MN and the big dogs on BC…they’re at 18-20 minutes per game.

In the 2000s…nobody wanted to play Nodak in the postseason. Nobody.

If there ever is a coaching replacement (and I do like Berry, but this last 9 yrs has been fairly uneventful, definitely not the power house we used to be) we need a global search. Think out side the box. Recruiting has to be at the forefront.
