  1. Maybe panz is the odd man out unfortunately....I believe he is the least heralded of all the dmen we will have for this upcoming season.
  2. True. Not a bad problem to have I guess. I've heard Stecher is ready to contribute right now. I would think the reigning BCHL Defensemen of the Year would be fully ready to play college hockey. Only time will tell I guess.
  3. Is it possible Thompson plays another year of junior hockey? He's super young. He didn't receive a ton of ice time at the worlds, at least not compared to ausmus. Just thinking, I'm guessing stecher makes an impact immediately, where Keaton is a tad raw.
  4. True. The Blackhawks are probably the prototypical team in terms of a squad built from the draft. I have a lot of respect in that. Besides hossa they really didn't have to spend to much money, if any, on outside help. GM does a great job there. I guess I forgot about sharp but he really wasn't the player he is today when before he arrived in Chicago. Goon do you have that Crosby goal from last night...I don't have NBCSN but I heard it was saucy.
  5. Mattson is solid, no idea why he took a step backward last year but I do see him being a major contributor next year. I honestly think we have a great team next year. Young, but they'll be tough to beat.
  6. I heard this from a buddy reasonably close to the team a few weeks back....but it was taking so long I was starting to get worried. Great day, great pick-up! He'll be pretty good right from the get go. Now....what to do with everyone else. I hope they don't keep Stecher in the BCHL longer, he'll probably decommit.
  7. Are you kidding me??? This is one complete lie. Gam knows English....he's been here his whole life, guy doesn't even have an accent. You know his family (sons) are probably on here so keep it classy a$$. Edit: Oh you're talking about the grandpa.....I didn't realize you're old. Either way they are a nice family so I'm going to leave my initial comment.
  8. Marchand is such a puke....he plays for any other team there would be a bounty on his head.
  9. Haha, he's 21? That's funny. Late bloomer huh? :o)
  10. He's still young....Karl will work with him on positioning. Either way great pickup!
  11. Watching the Boston vs Toronto game.....one thing is certain, Frattin has a cannon!
  12. I second that....what a joke. I have never heard UND as having terrible professors...I liked all my Accounting and Finance professors.
  13. Dang, I thought he may come here. Crossing my fingers.
  14. Therrien looks like Shrek...man is he ugly.
  15. Clearly agree....one is a Tier 1 league and 1 is a tier 3 league.
  16. Big win for the Wild.....Zucker is playing at a very high level. He's pretty fun to watch.
  17. True...I guess I would have to exclude the US team. If you exclude them there are very few top notch skaters (who are great in college or have successful careers after college) who come from the NA. I'm pretty sure (I think) you know what I'm talking about )....the US team comment was a reach, but you are correct. The US team is almost a complete separate program which played NA team to gain experience (due to NA players being so old). Jacque Lam played in the NA, he was a solid college player but was never drafted and I think his numbers were a tad inflated due to the league he played in....but he was solid. Every once in awhile those players will come around. But again, my point is that I would be fine missing out on an NA skater and take my chance on a more highly heralded player who may be drafted.
  18. Agreed....I'm starting to wonder if Koivu is hurt. That Pom injury was a huge blow, their first line hasn't even been noticeable. Has the first line even had a point yet? Either way I'm a Hawk fan but have been trying to cheer for the Wild more since Parise arrived.
  19. Frattin sure looks good so far tonight....unfortunate Carlyle sat him for so long. He needs to stay top 6 and play with creative players, his shot is lethal.
  20. Anyone know who Kristo is playing with in the Worlds? Bjugstad I'm guessing.....that's kind of funny.
  21. Actually Crosby's line is the shut down line. His line play's against the other team's best line every night. That is what is so crazy about Crosby's numbers (more specifically +/-). Crosby is obviously known for his offensive production and for being a great 2-way center....as is Toews. I'm not saying Toews shouldn't win the Hart, I was simply trying to note that Crosby is a "do-it-all" type of player as well. If Crosby wouldn't have missed the last month of the season there would be no question that he should win the Hart.
  22. That's great....looks like there are a decent amount of college players on that squad.
