  1. So I'm not a huge gopher fan but I like how Hudson fasching plays. Reminds me if goren or little more skilled Malone.
  2. Yup that goal was nice. It was even better going against a b10 team.
  3. I don't think he was ever considered on the "bubble" Canada was talking him up since he was 15. However I do remember when Chris Chucko wasn't even invited to the Canadian selection camp and he was a 1st round pick; that was sort of a big deal back then.
  4. This canada game is a glorified men's league game. I think Canada's total shots equal their scoring chances.
  5. I saw him play earlier in the year, their team didn't play well. I was actually saying to some buddies that jonny looked like the best player on their team and I was shocked because voltin was the und recruit.
  6. I think voltin and Rowe either go somewhere else or stay in juniors. They have taken a little longer to develope. I don't think Rocco is going anywhere, he'll be back next year. If he leaves it's for the AHL or Europe. I think poganski definitely needs another year of juniors, as does Wilkie. The players that should come in (forwards) are schmaltz, gersich, Olson and jonny. The rest are honestly not ready, they seem to be struggling in juniors.
  7. He is much more of a finesse player than pattyn, not sure what he'll do in college but you never know. I think he'll end up being a decent 3rd or 4th liner.
  8. Shocked Tom Wilson didn't get suspended....I saw the hit on Schenn live and it was pretty scary. I didn't listen to Shanny's explanation but it must have had something to do with Schenn flipping at the last second. Either way though, that was a dangerous "bording" hit that does not need to be part of our game. He should have at least been fined, or a game. I do get confused as Schenn ended up OK, he did flip late and T. Wilson did get called for boarding (I believe). Anyone else see the hit? Pretty scary but not super dirty.
  9. When did Luc say that? Nothing I have seen/heard has him saying that? I am super blown away Luc didn't knock the guy out cold…..not many people would have that kind of restraint. I get the Bruins have a decent amount of trashy hockey players but your arguments make you sound like a troll than any sort of advocate for anything.
  10. I'm pretty sure he has the "chance" to play in the NFL. He is only going to get a look. To answer the initial question....at the fcs level and with the same teams I'd take Hardin.
  11. There are some pretty nice players on this team, their top line with Erne and Hartman should be nice. Barber is solid. Pretty blue collar (besides Eichel) if you ask me, but that is how US teams always are.
  12. I do agree with you as well, however I see nothing wrong with looking forward to next year because in all honesty that is probably our shot to win the title. This year will be extremely tough (doable given some major puck luck). I for one am not writing off this year but I do know next year's team should be nice, I do not see who could possibly leave besides seniors.
  13. I also figured we would go on a nice run because the teams we play over this stretch are not good whatsoever. However, the real test will be how we close against those good teams. We need to put ourselves in a position to succeed in the playoffs (which I believe we will make, our team is relatively good). That home stretch is scary though, however in looking the the NCHC's record against other conferences, it isn't good. That won't help us much.
  14. I think USA can repeat. Love this tourney!
  15. Saban isn't going anywhere and Texas would have never won that game.
  16. I get frustrated with certain things Hak does too however when has this program been a .500 team? What I meant is that you cannot fire a man that has his resume….unless the program takes a serious slide and that does not mean a losing season (or two). This team has a long way to come in winning a Natty this year however I somewhat like what I see. This team has had its ups and downs but they are a good team. There is not one player on this team that should leave (besides seniors) so I think we can build off this year. I seriously think we will be very dangerous next year.
  17. Yeah makes sense….why not rotate Stetcher then? I know Stetcher is solid but I thought Keaton looked just as good last night.
  18. Super confused…..Keaton has looked solid. Also, is St. Clair hurt again?
  19. 6 was just a number I threw out there. What I meant was I would finally like them to play 60 minutes and beat teams line UM, BC, ND and other teams do. Yes I fully understand the parity in college, but once in a while our team (comprised of 15 draft picks) should be able to beat up on some lower tier schools. I didn't mean to get in this convo because we are on a 4 game win streak and I am pumped about that. Once the consistency comes and we get all our boys back I think we can hang with any team on the country, they simply need to go hard every game out.
  20. I agree as well, he had been a great recruiter but some if his game plans as well as his ability to motivate his players has been somewhat lackin over the years. That said, he's going no where so get used to it. The boys looked ok last night against a garbage team. They need to drop 6 on them tonight. Let's get Zane the shutout.
