  1. There would be tons of guys that dominate in the O. The one thing I debate with my cousins (who are Cananadians and LOVE their CHL) is what about the 18-19 year olds that absolutely dominate the CHL and have nothing else to prove. The CHL is such a great league with so many awesome players however I wonder how beneficial it is to stay in the league only to score 130 pts against younger/smaller competition. My example is Nick Petan in Portland, the guy is 5'10 170lbs and he racked up 100+ pts last year. What benefit is there to playing against a bunch of 16-18 year olds and putting up another 130 pts? I believe he would be better off playing against older/bigger players to better develope himself. Oh well, just my 2 cents.
  2. Germany beat the Czech, tourney is getting weird!
  3. Haha me too. Actually I would like to give evidence that Canada does not blacklist their top notch players which head to college rather than play in the CHL. I gave the chucko example as evidence they blacklist their defected talent however I just remembered Schwartz was also a first round player and they let him on the U20 team (again it would have been tough to leave him off given he went in the 12-15 range). Can anyone else think of any others?
  4. Ok good . It's hard to fully explain yourself typing from these dang iPhones.
  5. Guy, I never once said toews was blacklisted. I was noting no one of toews caliber could ever be black listed. If you look at my initial post I noted as much. I do know others of less talent have, that being the year chucko wasn't invited when he went in the first round. I was actually on your side haha.
  6. Sure it is. What other evidence could one possibly have?
  7. Perfect, I totally get that the CHL is the top NHL feeder league but college hockey is a very tough league. All those Canucks simply think every good US player heads north.
  8. I post on that site all the time. If you read many of their posts you know why I stick up for the talent in college hockey. Hopefully you weren't trying to bash me with your comment.
  9. He actually explicitly noted "toewser" was almost blacklisted. In a subsequent post I gave you your evidence.
  10. What do you know, a Don Lucia coached team gets up 3 in a laugher and starts to unravel.
  11. This is bigger than the super bowl to Canada.
  12. So I'm not a huge gopher fan but I like how Hudson fasching plays. Reminds me if goren or little more skilled Malone.
  13. Yup that goal was nice. It was even better going against a b10 team.
  14. I don't think he was ever considered on the "bubble" Canada was talking him up since he was 15. However I do remember when Chris Chucko wasn't even invited to the Canadian selection camp and he was a 1st round pick; that was sort of a big deal back then.
  15. This canada game is a glorified men's league game. I think Canada's total shots equal their scoring chances.
  16. I saw him play earlier in the year, their team didn't play well. I was actually saying to some buddies that jonny looked like the best player on their team and I was shocked because voltin was the und recruit.
  17. I think voltin and Rowe either go somewhere else or stay in juniors. They have taken a little longer to develope. I don't think Rocco is going anywhere, he'll be back next year. If he leaves it's for the AHL or Europe. I think poganski definitely needs another year of juniors, as does Wilkie. The players that should come in (forwards) are schmaltz, gersich, Olson and jonny. The rest are honestly not ready, they seem to be struggling in juniors.
  18. He is much more of a finesse player than pattyn, not sure what he'll do in college but you never know. I think he'll end up being a decent 3rd or 4th liner.
  19. Shocked Tom Wilson didn't get suspended....I saw the hit on Schenn live and it was pretty scary. I didn't listen to Shanny's explanation but it must have had something to do with Schenn flipping at the last second. Either way though, that was a dangerous "bording" hit that does not need to be part of our game. He should have at least been fined, or a game. I do get confused as Schenn ended up OK, he did flip late and T. Wilson did get called for boarding (I believe). Anyone else see the hit? Pretty scary but not super dirty.
