We really needed a sweep this weekend. It could have been a lot worse than it was…and it should have been. That penalty was a bone head move. Really cost us.

This squad struggled with simple passing. ASU was significantly more skilled/creative than we were. The scoring chances were so lopsided. I was dozing off a bit…but I honestly don’t remember one. And we got that lucky shorty

We were dominated in the first and a majority of the second. If they played well this team isn’t very good.

It’s unreal…especially considering we had like zero scoring chances to their 15 half way through the game. This is all getting kind of ugly tbh.

On this topic, I’m somewhat fine with taking a tendy out of the portal but we need to punt the whole build our team from small program portal transfers. There’s a reason these guys were at these schools to begin with. Unless they are drafted and a proven commodity (ie Pohkamp, Lucius, etc), stick away from players who beat up AH.

They do this balancing act with their lines at even strength. We clearly don’t have the skill to do that and be able to score, or even get chances with any sort of regularity. Time for a traditional 1-2-3-4. Play the top 2 a ton, 3 gets in there, 4 plays sparingly especially when we are up. I would love to know our ice time breakdown between the lines. I feel we just roll our lines.

This team is so much better than we are. All the way around…should probably just go to bed. I haven’t seen a scoring chance yet.

Well those are the non blue chips folks complain about. If you get a blue chip, anything over a year is awesome, anything over two years is unreal. So to me, you have to assume any blue chip is only here 1-2 years. That happens today.

He really looked dynamic last night…hopefully he brings that confidence/playmaking to next weekend’s games as Manitoba was atrocious. Not sure how much that game will help them.

Honestly I have no idea, I’ve never seen this kid play. Not a 5 star…but the coaches definitely watch all these kids. Maybe he’s a later bloomer that starting to put it together like Pinto was. Again, no idea.

To follow up on Schultz, he just put up video game numbers at the prestigious Circle K Classic. And he’s significantly younger than everyone else. Appears to be the cream of the crop at that birth year.

Very true. You always need 3-4 and back fill with good late bloomers/overagers.
